Re: Deli meat question?

yes- suppose to be heated...

it has bacteria called listeria which is very unsafe... even if its a reputable place- things still could happen

Re: Deli meat question?

it's b/c of the listeria. If there's a deli sandwich that i really want i get it heated. And if i realy wanted it cold I save half of the hero for later and eat it cold out of the fridgeChat Icon

Re: Deli meat question?

So, it's ok if I heat it up and then let it cool down? I don't have to eat it heated?

Re: Deli meat question?

I think the main reason it needs to be heated is b/c when deli meat sits for a while that's when listeria forms. If you go to a good, clean deli that's busy then you're pretty safe b/c they go through a lot of the meat and it doesn't sit. Also, I think Trader Joe's has some deli meat that's free of listeria or any other bacteria
