Re: Demo Lesson Help- 7th grade Math
Sorry I have no advice, but wanted to wish you good luck. If it had been science I could have helped out.

Re: Demo Lesson Help- 7th grade Math
Do you know what they are working on now?
A popular lesson I did was the Pythagorean Theorem. I would make magentic labels of a right angle, "leg a", "leg b", "hypotenuse" and have the students come up and identify them. They loved it - but you need to make sure you have a magnetic board, and I think it might be a little too early in the school year for it.

I have a really cool proportion/ratio lesson involving art. The kids take a comic strip panel and double it.

Re: Demo Lesson Help- 7th grade Math Lesson On ADDING INTEGERS
If you have time - run to HD/Lowe's and get the tile seperators (I think you can buy 250 of them for just a few dollars). They look like little plus signs. Leave half as plus signs, and the other half cut off two ends so they look like subtraction signs. I gave each student (or they can work in pairs) 10-20 of each kind.
I found adding/subtracting integers is one of those topics where a visual is really helpful!

You can also get a cauldron (like from Party City) and red and blue color cubes. Make a pot of "soup" as you add the blue cubes the temperature goes down and as you add the red cubes, the temperature goes up.
