I never had a bad haircut from a salon.
BUT When I was in 6th grade I had a short hair cut with a "tail" in the back

New Years Eve 1993
went to Lemon Tree (1st mistake!) to get my hair done for the night and agreed to a trim
walked out with a MULLET
I cried and cried and cried and cried.............
still not over it actually, I looked like Joe Dirt for a long time

Had really long hair and my mom took me to get a "cut"..Boy did they cut. I looked like a boy. I was in 2nd grade and was devastated.
7th grade wanted a perm. I didn't mention to the woman a "long perm" and when she was done I realized I got a "short perm". I looked like Annie.
It was awful.

i had a bowl cut when i was a kid, always got mistaken for a boy.
i cut my hair short about 5 years ago, i kept it up until right after i got engaged. i look back now and it looked awful, why didn't anyone tell me???

I cut my own bangs once in HS. They were like 1/2 an inch long I looked terrible.
The worse haircut I ever received was from a cheapo place in the city...I had to go to a hairstylist in my town to have it "fixed"!!!  It looked like someone took scissors and randomly chopped like edward scissorhands.

I have a tie.......don't think I can pick one over the other!!
1st.....I was at the end of 9th grade. My uncles girlfriend asked me to be her model for her hairdresser test. I was all excited!! I ended up with my hair layered at EXACTLY 6 inches all aound my head .....while Karen recieved a perfect score for the haircut part, I was forced to go through like 10 months of "growing out" till it looked normal
2nd.....I had my first hairdressing job out of BOCES at 18 years old. I decided it would be easier to have curly hair like my sister.....so I had a perm with BIG rollers. Oh jeez it was awful!!! My hair was so long at that point that it curled like an ***** poodle!!

I was about 15 and layering had just come into style. I went to a local beauty shop and they butchered my hair so badly that I had to go to a different shop and try to have them fix it. So, that day I started out with hair that reached to my waist and wound up with hair that was close-cropped to my head. My father wouldn't speak to me for a week.

My junior year of college, one of the local salon owners came to the dorms to give free haircuts in order to get business. He told me he was going to do long layers (similar to the Jennifer Aniston look). Well, when he was done, I looked NOTHING like her. He buzzed the back of my hair and cut it in a bob up to my ears. I looked horrible. my friends started to call me EuroHollie, since I looked European (according to them) and was leaving for London for my semester abroad.

i tried to get the "rachel" cut when Friends was first popular...... well i have naturally curly hair.... didnt work out for me at all spent the whole summer in a slicked back pony tail!!!

I also have 2:
1.) Sophomore year in college I let my sister cut my hair to save money. She cut bangs that were below my chin to above my eyebrows in one cut. I spiked it up with gel for about a month 
2.) summer before senior year of college - got a cheap perm. I looked like Jon BonJovi with the big hair. My mom was driving past me as I walked home and started laughing. You know it's bad when your mom laughs at you. I wore a french braid for months.

I have natrually curly hair and I asked my friend to give me bangs she cut them so short in the middle of my forehead...Then i got a perm ...Uh hello I have natrually curly hair! i know dont ask!

OMG the Rusk crescent cut.
I always though it looked like a combination of Joan Jette & an asian style. It was HUGE a few years back. They even started to make their own line of special scissors just for that cut
