I have very curly hair. A friend was studying to be a hair dresser and he needed a hair model, I needed a hair cut so I went. He cut my hair so short - it was about an inch long, but left it a little longer by my neck. I looked like Shirley Jones from the partridge family. And I didn't cut my hair again for over a year.

A friend in HS had great hair & she told me her Mom cut it. So, I went to her mom & said cut my hair like Lydias. She said "Oh, I have something better" She gave me a bob. She chopped like 10-12 inches off my hair. There wasn't a mirror in front of me so when she was done I almost died. I cried the whole way home. And wore hats ALOT!

I cut my own hair from my waist to my shoulders, but I was young so I didn't realize when I pull all my hair to one side and cut it, when you let it go my hair was cut on a major angle. So my mom had to fix it and cut my hair even so my hair was up to my chin. I hated it and it took FOREVER to grow long again! Boy did I learn my lesson!
