Desperate crib advice - DH won't sleep well in Crib

DS will be 8 wks on Nov. 22. We used to swaddle her and She slept well in crib for nightime only and slept in bouncy or swing for daytime naps...

We stopped swaddling her b/c she broke out of the swaddle me and then since then no swaddling, she didnt' sleep well in crib overnight, up every 2 hrs. and continued to sleep well for naps in bouncy and swing.

How do I get DS to sleep well in her crib for night time and for naps...I feel like at this age she should nap and sleep in crib all the time and not in bouncy or swing...but I am 1st time mom and could be totally wrong...help..please!! Thanks.

Really rarely ever wrong or right on this first go around.. just learning Chat Icon

Secondly... Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Your topic has DH as in Dear hubby.. which i find absolutely hilarious. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Ok.. I know AJ broke out often, we finally just set her free.. but at 8weeks she still had that jerk response which would wake her up. I co-slept and held her hand to soothe her. All I can say is it is a phase and she will grow out of it.

PS: I assume its a lil girl not a son.. as DS for dear son imply.. i guess you mean DD for Dear Daughter but then again I've been thru lack of a good nights sleep more times than I can count so I hear ya!

Re: Desperate crib advice - DH won't sleep well in Crib

My DD is 3.5 months and still will only nap in her bouncy seat or swing. I've tried a few times to no avail to get her to nap in the crib. I'm planning on giving her another month or so of napping in the swing before I make a real effort to switch her to the crib for naps... I think at 8 weeks its still ok to be napping in those places.

As far as the crib at night without swaddling, I'm not much help. DD was waking up so much at night because she was breaking out of the swaddle that when we stopped the swaddle she actually slept better than when she kept breaking out of it. Good Luck!

My DS slept in the swing until he was 5.5 months and we did CIO.
Both DS and DD were swaddled until they were around 6 months. I think you should try swaddling again.

LMAO that I wrote DH at first and not DD sleeping well in crib...2nd yes I have a DD not DS...ahh I need sleep, lol

Ok sooooo sounds like we will try to swaddle again for nightime sleep in crib and I guess it is still ok for her to sleep in bouncy and swing for naps....maybe at 3 months she will nap in crib...but whatever guess right now not a big deal...thanks so much!!!
