Desperate for potty training help!!! I need a book reccomendation
My 3 year old has no intrest in potty training. He said he is scared. I have tried sitting down and talking about why he is scared. I offered his favorite treats. I bought cute underwear, potty seats. Nothing is working. He is perfectly happy in a diaper. He doesn't even tell me when he is going to the bathroom. He usually goes an hides. I'm so done with diapers with him, and need him potty trained for Sept since he is starting school.
Any suggestions!!

Have you tried the 3 Day Potty Training method?
I ended up not needing to follow it because while I was waiting for a good weekend to do it, Ann decided she only wanted underwear and that was that.

I can't recomend a book but my 3 yo was like that as well. One day we hid all of the diapers and said there were no more left and we haven't looked back. He has special night night diapers for night time though.

Thanks! I really need to just get rid of the diapers. I think I have been a little lazy with it myself especially now with a 6 week old at home.

I kept him naked from the waist down for about 3 days. Kept putting him on the potty. Also, one word: BRIBERY. We found a few things he really liked: M&Ms, Play Doh, etc. and every time he went on the potty he got a prize.

the key is to get rid of the diapers. as long as you are hanging onto them, he will know he doesnt have to use the potty. he will eventually get tired of peeing on himself.

my DD just turned 3 and we borrowed The Potty Movie for Girls from the library.
We watched it religiously several times a day.
Within 2 weeks, she was potty trained with the help of a movie, and bribery.
She got a sticker every time she went, and three stickers equaled a toy. I got a bunch of stuff from the dollar store, it was perfect
They have The Potty Movie for Boys too.
