DH feelings
Sometimes I feel like I want a baby so much more than DH does. Each month we get a BFN he just seems like..ok we'll just try again next month. He doesn't seem happy, but he doesn't dissapointed either. Anyone else feel this way?

Re: DH feelings
My dh is like this too. I just dont think they are capable of feeling the way that we do. We had a huge blowout once over it and he explained to me how he feels like he doesnt have control over it (like I do?)...and that he cares as much as I do but that he doesnt want to show his being upset so much to me because that would just stress me out more and make me more sad...which I guess makes sense. But its still annoying sometimes that I dont get the feedback from him that I want or expect.

Re: DH feelings
Yes, DH sometimes feel the same way. I feel like it doesnt effect him as much...or he has s bad way of showing it. I feel like I want a baby more than he does. He always told me he would be just as happy without one. But me on the other hand cannot be happy without one. I feel like it is taking a big strain on our relationship, and sometimes it feel like it brings us closer together.

Re: DH feelings
Yes. I know what you mean. We are dealing with infertility issues and every month when I get AF and I am depressed he is just like, oh well, there's always next month!! I have been through a few blood tests etc so we can start the treatment process and he has YET to get his tests done. I am really getting frustrated. He has to get them done this month.
I think it is because it is not their body that they are watching for the signs, etc. I don't know.

Re: DH feelings
Thanks so much. I am so glad that I am not the only one. It makes me so sad sometimes, like I am alone in this whole thing. I want him to want a baby just as much as me. He always tells me it is part of being a guy but I have seen friends husbands that were thrilled about having a baby

Re: DH feelings
I think it's their way of helping us mentally. My DH does it too and he has told me "at this point I am upset it didn't happen, but I need to keep us both positive about the next month". And I love him all the more for the support

Re: DH feelings
In my case, I know it's true. DH really wants children but I know he would wait if we could. If I were even 5 years younger (his age), we'd probably wait another year.
As far as your DH goes, maybe he's just not letting himself get too excited. It's very hard to read that species
