DH wants to switch dd's formula
DD started out on similac advanced. At about 1 month we switched to Similac sensitive due to gas and spitting up.
She is now 7 1/2months and is on 3 meals a day and only drinking about 20oz a day. DH thinks we should switch back to similac advances for the next few months before we transition to milk. His reasoning is that he wants her stomach to get stronger and not rely on sensitive formula, especially since she will be going to whole milk in about 4 months.
Is this something we can do? Should I call the dr? Is dh out of his mind lol? TIA

Ditto. I don't think her stomeach would get any stronger from that switch- but switching formulas can really mess up their stomachs for a while.
DD was on an AR formula for spit up- even after she stopped the spitting up we kept her on it- I figured it was what she was used to.

Re: DH wants to switch dd's formula
My ped specifically said not to switch back, so I would talk to your ped.

Re: DH wants to switch dd's formula
DD was on Similac Sensitive and had no problems with the switch to milk.
Our ped said there was no reason to switch. I do understand your husband's thought process though, that is why I brought it up to her doctor.

Same here. My dh said the same thing but we didn't switch and she is now on whole milk with no problems

Re: DH wants to switch dd's formula
If she is eating 3 meals and day without a problem, then her stomach is just fine..
Tell your DH to quit it lol

My husband and I also asked the ped about it. He said it was up to us. We did end up switching her back but it was just for a short time. I don't think it really made a difference. I think she would have been fine with the switch to milk regardless because by then her digestive system had matured from the time we put her on the Sensitive.

If it aint broke, dont fix it. I would leave her on it. Jmo. Ita I wouldn't switch back. Why put her through two transitions, one is enough.
