I agree. I might be in the minority, and I know kids are kids and do dumb things, but if it happened to me, I'd be furious. I had a student somehow obtain my cell phone # this year (I have no idea how) and text me a grammar question. Harmless? Yes. But SO completely inappropriate and over the line. I was so angry. This was six months ago; she apologized, and it NEVER happened again. I'm glad your DH said that to her on the phone. They need to realize that teachers are people who have their OWN lives when they're not in school.

On a Friday night? Yeah. I wouldn't have minded at all if she'd sent me an e-mail. To me, phone calls are too intrusive and off limits.
