Dialation Question, need some words of inspiration please
Today is my due date and i am still only one centimeter dialated (same as i was last week)....
Was anyone else only 1 centimeter before going into labor? I was really disappointed that i did not make progress since last week. I feel like this baby is never going to come now.

Hi there! Are you effaced at all?
I was a fingertip dilated and was told that I wouldn't be going any time soon and then my water broke a few days later (3 to be exact) with my first.
I know how frustrating it is but I will just tell you to be patient. The baby may not be ready yet. 
I would also say that you NEVER know what'll happen! You can be just 1 cm and then be in full labor and 5 cm tomorrow! the body is an amazing thing!

I have the same question, are you effaced? I've read that with your first you efface before you dilate.
My friend's water broke when she was 38 weeks and 1/2 cm dilated - so you never know!

With my last DD I went to the doc and she was wayyyy up there no dialation and no effacement and that night I went into labor and had her the next morning ! And I was told that happens alot so heres some labor vibes for you

ITA!! I didn't have an internal before I delivered (since I had  at 37 weeks) but all I can say is that from the moment my contractions started at home and by the time I got to the hospital one hour later and examined I was 5 centermeters. One hour after that I went from 5-9. The body is amazing and you really never know! Hang in there!!! I keep popping on here to see if you had you're baby yet!!!!

This was the inspiration i was looking for...thanks.
Not sure about enfacement, the doctor didn't mention it and i didn't ask....I should have, but it slipped my mind.

One of my BFs went to the doctor two days before she went into labor... the dr said she wasnt going anywhere for a while... no dialation or effacement
She wound up having the world's fatest labor and delivered 10 days early. She literally got to the hospital at like 430am and had her DD at 702am!!!!

I also went to the Dr. today... my due date is Friday 5/23 and last time I went they told me I was 70% effaced but not dilated at all. I was hoping to hear today that I was a little bit dilated at today's appointment but low and behold not a thing!  Needless to say I was a little dissapointed to hear there was no progression... so I know how you feel.
They did a sonogram today to make sure there was enough fluid around the baby, and there was, so that is good news! 
My next appointment is scheduled for Tuesday the 27th. My Dr.s office doesn't really let you go too much past the 1 week late so they said we will discuss our options at the next appt.. Hopefully baby will come on it's own. 
I really shouldn't complain because I don't have major discomforts at this point. I know things could be a lot worse. The most important thing is that the baby is healthy!!!
I'm sure you are all experiencing the same thing I am with everyone calling and or when you call them they are like "Anything????" If people don't hear right back from you they assume you're in the hospital etc... Oh well I can't really blaim them they are all just really excited and waiting on the good news. Which is really nice.
