Diarrhea in toddlers question
DS is nearly 21 months and yesterday he had two really, really runny diapers. The same today. No other symptoms although he is not eating very well. no fever etc.
Any guesses to what this is?
How long should it last?
Is the BRAT diet suitable for this?
Should I take him to the PED?

There is a stomach bug going around. I would do BRAT diet and keep close watch. I wouldn't bother with the ped because it just has to run its course.

Cut back on dairy it makes diarrhea worse. No apple juice either. Water and white grape juice is good. Ice pops. Just keep him hydrated..If it is a stomach bug, it can last from a day or a week. DS had diarrhea for 4 days. BRAT diet is good...

My daughter had the same thing. We put one packet of probiotics in her juice one time a day. works like a charm
