Did any of the moms have "unexplained" bleeding in the third trimester?
I took a trip to L &D yesterday. I noticed a tiny little bit of spotting yesterday when I woke up. I tried to not get myself too alarmed but as I wiped the blood seemed to increase, it was bright red. Fearing a hemoraging situation or pre-term labor, I called my husband to turn around as he had just left for work.
I get to the hospital and they hook me up. Nice heartbeat and no contractions. The doctor did an internal and my cervix is totally closed and there was no more bleeding. I was then fearing it was placenta issue but they told me it was unlikely as I have no history ( I have my sonos every month.)
They chalked it up to being unexplained. And said it just happens sometimes. Has this occured with anyone else? Of course, now I am constantly on the lookout for bleeding. Oh and I should mention, I just turned 34 weeks yesterday.

I don't have any experience with unexplained bleeding ( Mine was explained- I had previa and a sub-chrionic bleed) ...but did they put you on any type of bed-rest or modified bed-rest ? Maybe you just over-did it a little ? Sometimes it can be an irritation from BD'ing also I believe ....

No bedrest, but pelvic rest. It definitely wasn't from any recent BDing . Yeah, I am also thinking I might have overexerted myself at some point.

I did with my DD and I remember it being close to the end, but not close enough for my comfort! I called my OB and he didn't even have me come in, told me to sit with my feet up for the rest of the day and take it easy. While it was bright red and freaked me out, it seemed to go away just as quickly as it came. No other issues at all!

Did you have any bleeding early on in pregnancy? With DD I bled early on and then bled again around 33-34 weeks. I went to L & D and they said everything looked ok but said that if you have bleeding early on in pregnancy you can have bleeding later on from blood clots that finally disperse. Feel good and try to take it easy!

I had this at 13 weeks(after a long history of pregnancy losses) and it was an irritated cervix-I would say that is probably what it is. You can rest assured if it is pre term labor you are good to go right now-34 weeks is VERY close to full term. Good luck
