I was going to attempt this and buy the rolled fondant from Michael's. I am just not sure how hard it is and how it is going to go.

Yes, I have made cakes using fondant.
But, I never rolled it out and put in on the whole cake. I made pumkins and leaves using the fondant and placed them on top of the buttercream frosting.
I am scared to try the rolling out- looks VERY hard- that's my next goal though!
Good luck!

I did I'm not really a fan of the Michael's fondant....they dont give you enough so buy extra. I prefer to make my own - you can do a search for marshmallow fondant recipes. The Michaels is easier to roll out but tends to be a little too "wet" for me.
This is the only picture I have of the Michael's fondant....after he started ruining the cake lol
Here are the pics from my first fondant cake with the homemade recipe... LINK

Looks Fantastic Michelle!! Thanks for sharing
I am going to try the Marshmallow Recipe.
Did you refrigerate the cake? Can you decorate it the night before?
Thank you so much for your help!!!
