did anyone get out of breath really early on??
I feel like an old lady. DH is a big guy, and we walked up some steps today. . . he was fine but I was doubled over and had to sit down. . . I forgot to ask the doctor about it yesterday -- has anyone else experienced this?

Yup! I had it pretty bad my first trimester, then it went away in the second and came back in the third. I am also carrying VERY high, so it was very difficult for me to breath.

Yeah, I figured it was something that happened when the baby got bigger and took over all that room. . . but my baby is the size of a blueberry!!
thanks for answering!

Re: did anyone get out of breath really early on??
It has to do with progesterone relaxing your diaphragm. It is just another one of those wonderful first trimester symptoms!

Re: did anyone get out of breath really early on??
I'm 14 weeks today and get totally winded after a flight of stairs, which is totally unusual for me. My mom looked at me like I was some heifer yesterday when I was out of breath, so I lied and said my asthma was bothering me

Re: did anyone get out of breath really early on??
Ohhhhh yes! By 6 weeks I was seriously out of breath all the time. I even mentioned it to my doctor at my first appointment (7w) and she said it was normal.

Re: did anyone get out of breath really early on??
you'll get winded fast in the beginning usually b/c your heart is working overtime since your body products more blood and fluid for the baby.

OMG, yes, I feel the same way!!! I was walking with my mom the other day, and usually I walk faster than her, but I was so winded and she was like, "are you out of breath???"

Re: did anyone get out of breath really early on??
Im glad you posted this too. This has been happening to me a lot of the past few weeks and I seriously thought I was just getting out of shape. I actually told my DH i was afraid I was ruining my health by not being more active and thats why this was happening (since I dont work and Im home all the time)
I brought a load of laundry upstairs about 2 weeks ago and by the time I got upstairs, you would have thought I ran a marathon
