Did anyone just fail the 1hr glucose (with a borderline level) and go on to fail the 3hr?
I was surprised to hear I failed my 1hr (with a 140) bc I passed it with my ds who is only 1 1/2. I never heard my actual level with that one so I guess it could have also been borderline but just passing instead of just failing.
I'm nervous I'll fail the 3 hr. Experiences?
Also, if you were "borderline" but passed the 3hr did you modify your diet anyway?

I failed the one hour by 3 points- passed the 3 hour with perfect results- not even one of the hours was off
The day before the test I just limited my juices and carbs

I failed the 1 hour but passed the 3 hour with my 2nd DC. I didn't change anything.
I passed the 1 hour with my first and with this one. Go figure!

I passed the 1 hour with DS.
Failed the 1 hour with the twins by just a couple of points. Passed the 3 hour with flying colors without changing my diet.

I wasn't even borderline when I failed the 1 hour. It was by a decent amount, so I really wasn't very optimistic that I'd pass the 3 hour. But apparently I passed with flying colors. I'm thinking the first one was a fluke. I didn't go on to modify my diet (I was eating pretty healthy to begin with).

Same here! I think my 1 hour was 201 or something like that and my doctor said I should go for the 3hr anyway and I passed with flying colors.

With DD#1 I badly failed the 1 hour - but actually did well with the 3 hour test - go figure.
With DD#2 I failed the 1 hour by about 2 or 3 points. I failed the 3 hour too - but only by 1 point with the fasting and 1 point with the 3rd hour draw. I was only borderline with the GD and easily controlled it with diet only.
Honestly I don't think you will know.

I had GD with my 1st son and didn't have it with my second son. Unfortunately you cannot modify your diet in anyway, if you have it you have it. It is how your body processes sugar during your pregnancy. I was borderline with the 1 hour for my 2nd pregnancy so I had to re-take the 1 hour then had to go on and take the 3 hr which I had passed second go around.

Re: Did anyone just fail the 1hr glucose (with a borderline level) and go on to fail the 3hr?
I flat out failed my 1hr haha
I passed my 3hr easily
Did nothing different. Figured if I was GD, I'd be better off knowing it then avoiding it. Actually I finished off a box of ice cream sandwiches that week before it. Figured if I was gonna be GD, I'd better get all my sugar in while I could!
But I passed.. with flying colors no less.
