Lovely. Mine just went into the garbage.
Why did you throw them in the garbage you can take them to the store you got them at (BBB and CVS) are both taking them back. They will take opened bottles too. When there is a recall they will usually take them back. I even called and they told me that they would.
Why? Cuz I really don't have the patience to go return it.

I have about 1/2 tsp left of the recalled Zyrtec (just gave it to DD last night too!  ) do you think that's returnable? I'm so mad because I am a big advocate of buying generic (we're only paying for the label it's not a better medication) but I bought the children's Zyrtec because I had a $4 coupon from the ped and I had bought Infant Tylenol for DD#2 because at the time they were out of the generic at CVS. Now they are both recalled. Back to strictly generic for me!

You know what really pisses me off about this?
How many of us are on a VERY tight, shoestring budget these days? I am not working, and spending all of this money on medicines that I now cannot even use for my child makes me EXTREMELY angry.
We are really strapped these days--trying to rub our pennies together...and this really gets to me. We are so broke, and this doesn't help.

Does anyone know if the numbers they list can be found on the unopened bottle - on the package itself? I have two packaged I bought yesterday that I have not opened yet of the concentrated drops but I don't want to open them unless they are ok but, DD and DS had shots yesterday and what if I need them?
ETA: Found the number on the top right of the box in case anyone else is in a similar situation. they are recalled. THANK GOD DD did not get a fever last night - I am sure she would have been ok either way but, i would have been stressed! going to call the ped now to see what to do in the alternative if necc. will update.
ETA again: - DS hasn't been sick in months - since December probably but all of his old tylenol brands from October and December have the same number - so just wanted to know if these were effected if anyone knows?

Just went to Target and bought their own brand of Tylenol and Motrin. They were SO on top of this, and it was 10AM and they pulled everything from their shelves. They will not take back the recalled meds tho.

2 bottles of meds right out the window I really hope there is no harsh side effects ! I get mad because we trust these people with our children in a sense
I know we are all only human ,and making mistakes is a part of nature ,but there needs to be some kind of measures taken ! Why do we ( consumers) have to suffer the conequences of their mistakes?

I posted that, and didn't have my receipt and didn't pay with CC--I am sure they would let you return an unopened one if you could look it up!

Thanks for posting this. This is such BS!!!! I don't want to be an anxious mother but how can i not be when baby/children's products are being recalled left and right. Toys, cribs, high chairs, and now medicines too! Not to mention that millions of cars being recalled. Is anything safe anymore? At some point manufacturers need to stop cutting corners and releasing substandard products. Where are their standards - both moral and in terms of the quality of their product?!?

This is infuriating...I have 5 boxes to throw out of various products listed McNeill should refund the money we are out! They made money off of me when I purchased these useless products and now I just have to toss it and eat the expense?
same here! I am livid! This is getting out of control, we can't trust anyone (or anything) anymore!

OK, TEN bottles of children's motrin, infants motrin, children and infant tylenol, benadryl and zyrtec in the garbage!
Not to mention the almost empty bottle of zyrtec and motrin that my poor DD has almost finished and is on the recall list. I am so pizzed off right now. Unbelievable.

I went to our local CVS and all of the questioned medications were pulled off the shelves. I bought a generic and double checked with the pharmacist. Abby isn't even sick, but I ALWAYS keep Tylenol and Motrin for her on hand.
Frankly, we are tight for cash too, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Truth be told, we always grab samples from the pediatrician. If things are tight, it is an idea to ask for samples of anything when you go to your next visit.
