Thank you for posting this. I saw the end of a clip on the news yesterday, but hadn't checked out the information yet. I'm in CT, but I just spoke to my local CVS. The manager said they would take the medication back and issue a refund.

You know what really pisses me off about this?
How many of us are on a VERY tight, shoestring budget these days? I am not working, and spending all of this money on medicines that I now cannot even use for my child makes me EXTREMELY angry.
We are really strapped these days--trying to rub our pennies together...and this really gets to me. We are so broke, and this doesn't help. 
I highly recommend target brand...the tylenol / motrin is like 3 bucks a bottle
same stuff, no recall 
The thing that makes me nervous though is , you would assume that a company this big would have a strict quality control policy, and if they are still having problems. What is happening in these smaller companies, that we just never know about.
I am actually grateful that Tylenol (mcneil) is paying enough attention to find a problem and came forward to correct it. I would bet there are just as many problems elsewhere, they just dont get reported.

DS woke up with a fever....DH is now at CVS returning my recalled bottle and getting CVS brand

This is so scary. Threw out the Benadryl and Tylenol. Gonna buy the generic today!!

Ladies don't throw them out, you can get a refund on them even w/o a rececipt if you go to drugstores like RiteAid or CVS.
Oh, and if you're throwing them out, don't just chuck them in the garbage or flush the medication down the drain. It's hardardous stuff like any expired medication and dangerous to our landfill land sewage system.
If you can, take them to the pharmacy so they can properly dispose of them.

Yes, they are open today until 5:00pm. I did not have to mail back the bottles. They just needed the NDC and lot # on the bottle. I had to call a few times to actually get through and was on hold for 10 minutes.

I'm so calling.
I have a bottle of Zyrtec but Claritin always works better on her. But she like the TASTE of Zyrtec (bubble gum). Worse part is it was Children's verison so I was giving her only 1/4 because its not infants or approved for under 2.
ALL of my target and walgreens brands are not on the list. We live off Motrin around her but Brand was getting way too expensive give the number of ear infections she had. So we moved to generic a LONG time ago. Thankfully none of those are on this list.

I called the # and they are sending me a refund too.
I waited on hold for about 3 mins so it wasnt bad at all. Just have the bottles handy because they ask for all the #'s on them.

i just took my 1/2 used bottle of tylenol to cvs for a full refund and i bought the cvs brand instead

i returned mine to cvs for a credit. they only take the ones in a box though, and they can be opened and used.
