It crept up on me---I didn't start using cloth until he was one but already wore & BF him....I still don't really consider myself that crunchy, one of my friends is super crunchy and I am no where near her!

I have always been a crunchy granola girl (I even had dread locks ) . I wear my baby (on the subway it is the only way for me to travel), breast feed and plan to until he self weans, co-slept for a little while, I only eat organic meats and dairy and plan to do the same for my son. I would say the only uncrunchy thing about me is I don't do cloth diapers, but I plan to if I am blessed with another child.

OMG. Did it ever. Wanted a painfree birth so took Bradley, unfortunately had a c-section. I breastfead for 9 months, use cloth diapers from the beginning. Made my own diapers and all DS's baby food. Never once bought a jar of babyfood. Shop at Trader Joes twice a month for organic food for DS.
Yeah, two years ago, I would not have reconized myself.

Not very surprised cause I have always been a little crunchy, but I am on month 12 of BFing, and only feed her organic food.

Just to clarify I don't think breast feeding is in any way granola. It's for some people not for others. Simple as that

No, not exactly... I thought I'd be more crunchy granola that I am, actually. I thought I'd bf longer - one month EBF and one month to wean and I was done... I thought I'd make my own babyfood but that lasted for 30 seconds, and some of the food that DD eats now I won't even say out loud let alone put in writing on the internet because it bugs me but DH is the one in charge of meals since I work longer hours..
This time, however, there are a few things I'm aiming for that I wouldn't have considered before having my first. I'm buying a co-sleeper - something I said I'd never do but my DD ends up in my bed daily so I know DS will too, and I'm buying a Moby wrap because I plan to wear this one while I'm home.. but then again, I think that's out of necessity because I don't have hands enough for 2 children.
And I do plan to BF longer this time. Now that I know what I'm up against I feel I'm better prepared.

Nope not at all.
I did not BF for a variety of reasons (mostly due to all the meds I was on for several weeks post partum) but I was not upset about it at all.
Both my kids HATED the Bjorn and the sling. No cloth diapers - I am grossed out enough by poop as it is
I have been buying organic since 2001 so that obviously has not changed.
Overall, I would say I am pretty moderate. Like I said, I buy mostly organic and cook very healthy but I do let my DD indulge in stuff like McDonalds on occassion, or eat lollipops and chocolate etc.

I'm not super granola, more like the low fat version I did BF for a little bit, she only eats MAINLY organic which I was never anal about organic..I tend to read labels A LOT more than I ever have now. She basically eat what I cook, even if we go out to a restaurant I usually bring her food bc I know what goes in it...I made her baby food from scratch...these things I never would have had the patience to do before..and now I do!

I BF'd for 2 and a half months which was 2 and a half months longer than I ever wanted to. Other than that I Am pretty old school. I like it that way. I won't change a thing. It was how I was raised and I make no apologies for it. The only granola in my house is the oats and honey bars on top of my microwave.
ETA:
OK I DO give Abby organic milk that is pretty much because I don't want her boobs to be bigger than mine when she's 12.
Same- including the organic milk to prevent the huge boobies!

Yup I am going that way too. I am Bfing, with no end in sight. When I do start solids, I am making all of her food using organics. We love co sleeping, but only when DH is not around (He has PTSD, at startles in his sleep sometimes) and I would use cloth diapers but my husband says NO,  because i think he thinks it's much worse than it is.
Before DC were born and I told DH I wanted to use cloth diapers, he was SO against it. But he agreed to try, and now he LOVES them.

Me. Granola crunchy? NO. I am no where near Granola. I didn't even register for the Bjorn or sling. Never even tasted organic milk and didn't attempt to BF.

I agree as well! I make all of DS' food from scratch and eat only(well 90% of the time) organic myself but would never consider myself granola. I reserve that term for the cosleeping and attachment parenting mommas. I would venture to say I know more people who make their kids food and eat "organic" than not so I think the term granola has evolved as people have become more aware of what they are putting into their(and their little ones) bodies. Plus, I wouldn't consider shopping at Trader Joe's exactly organic. Some of the ingredients lists on some of the "organic" stuff is longer than my legs.

I wouldn't say I'm a practicing granola, but I do wish I did more. I'm still BFing past one, he eats all organic, I don't cloth diaper though I think I may try that for number 2. We co-slept until 10 months and I wore him. I did want and intend on having and entire drug free natural birth, took prenatal yoga, studied with my teacher, did so much research and ended up with a c-section which devastated me. I try to be as natural as I can, but I know I can do better still. If you would have asked me 5 years ago I would have laughed at the prospect of any of this.

I've drunk non-organic, hormoned-up milk all my life and I'm still waiting here in my A cup for the boobs...WTH!

No-I am pretty far from granola, tough I did go through a tree hugging, vegetarian phase when I was in college.
No, not at all. Sure, I do organic whenever possible but I think most people do now if they can.
Regular diapers, jarred food (though this time I am going to use Earth's Best so maybe I AM crunchy after all yeah right!).
No co sleeping, no attachment parenting. No breast feeding (but I don't think that is a litmus test for granola since I know so many women that do BF and I wouldn't consider them granola).
I have become more visceral/instinctive/protective than I ever thought possible, that surprised me.
