no saw a hiring sign in the front looks like they are still doing work on the place. what type of food are they going to have. fondue type stuff?

This is exactly what my friend told me too. There is a "Now Hiring" sign and she says it looks like the outside needs to be worked on as well.

It's on 110 in Melville actually....where the old Churascarria was.
Personally, I'm not sure this place is ever opening. They have built restaurants where the Lowes is faster than this place can fix up an existing building.

Building from scratch is actually easier than dealing with somebody elses old problems.

I always see lots of trucks and activity going on in there.
Remember, they need to get all the tables with the fondue heaters or whatever they are in the middle and I am sure that takes a lot of work.

They had to basically gut the inside as well as work underground on installing more electric for the heaters on the tables....
I hope they are open by November 18th! We want to go for our anniversary!!

please don't take this the wrong way.. i'm not trying to be "debbie downer"... but i've been to melting pot a bunch of times ( i live in NJ, and theres 2 near us! ) i LOVE, LOVE it... but not sure its a good one to take young kids to. they actually heat the fondue pot up right on the table, and if you get the main course instead of just cheese, its VERY hot oil, which might be bad for a young child. its also pretty pricey, too!
again, not trying to be a "downer" just giving you a heads up. maybe have your DH take you there as a nice night out before you become a mom of TWO!

ok good yeah.. its a GREAT place for a girl's night out (we went for a bachelerette party last year), or a special occasion dinner with DH... make sure you get the yin and yang chocolate martini!

I have one here in Vegas, and Brian's mom, stepmom, her mom, and I all went there for dinner one night.... SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!! I loved it and everything was delish!
