Did spaying stop your dog from humping?
I thought after we got ollie spayed she'd stop humping things but I think I was misinformed. Did your dog stop humping after she was spayed?

We had a female cocker spaniel that humped even after she was fixed.

Mine only started humping when she went into her first heat. Then we got her fixed and she never humped again.

Humping is not always sexual and is often a dominance thing.

I thought so too.. After he realizes its not pleasurable anymore he may stop..

My Chihuahua Bella was spayed 3 years ago- and still humps all the time!! She'll actually become obsessed with a toy and it kinda becomes her lover- she'll bring it with her everywhere and becomes very protective of it!

For many dogs humping is not $exual. It is a way of asserting dominance and establishing their rank. Our female dog humps our other female dog when she gets out of line. It is her way of controlling her.

my male dogs is neutered, the female is spayed. She is the dominant one, she is older and bossy with him. Usually if she doesn't want to run around and play he tries to hump her and it makes her mad and then she bites his face and chases him.

The oldest yorkie completely stopped about 4 months later and the younger one humps every once in a while!
Definitely not like before though

HA! no..lol Tinkerbell is monogomous with a stuffed monkey she's had since I got her. She likes to get with him regularly...lol
