Did you get new parts for your breast pump for DC#2?
Trying to sort out my registry and figure out what I need this time!

Re: Did you get new parts for your breast pump for DC#2?
My sister borrowed my breast pump inbetween me using it and this pregnancy...so....
I will definately be getting new parts for it!
I did my registry on Sunday but didn't include any medela parts....I will probably buy them all myself!
First I have to research and figure out exactly what I need new!

I am just adding everything I need to a registry so I can be organized. I know no one is buying me anything related to my boobs!!

Do you know what parts need to be replaced? When I let my sister my pump she replaced all of the parts...so I don't even know what she had to buy!

The horns, the membranes (little white things), valves-- maybe the tubes? Although air just go through those.
Medela makes them all-- the accessory kit looks to be $29.99, so really not a big deal to replace..
Oh, not looking forward to pumping again.

Not looking forward to it at all!!! I got new membranes shortly before I stopped pumping last time, so I think the only thing I am going to replace is the tubing (all cloudy from never really drying out). I will boil everything else to sanitize it.

I have the Avent Isis and Medela Freestyle. Neither got milk in the tubes. For now, I am planning to thoroughly sterilize what I have and if any of it looks icky then buy new parts.
I tried to be meticulous about cleaning/drying/storing after DD stopped nursing so hopefully all the parts are still in good shape.

I just got new tubes. I called the company (Medela) directly and they sent them for free.

I will be. I feel like it so hard to get those tubes absolutely clean.

Re: Did you get new parts for your breast pump for DC#2?
I'm going to end up getting a new pump. I used it over a year and the motor started to go. The warranty is only for a year. My DS is also 4-1/2 so it's been sitting for a long time already. I'm going to try to reuse the accessories~ as long as they work with the new one.
(This is one of the reasons I'm going to do a registry again.)
eta- I'll get new membranes. You're supposed to replace them every so often anyway.

I got new membranes and tubes. Turned out I didn't need either because she wouldn't take a bottle!
