Breast pump question-With new question

I'm looking to get my breast pump now. I was planning on going with Medela, but the LC I met with suggested I look at Ameda. She felt it was a better pump. Any experience? Reviews?
TIA

Re: Breast pump question

I have the Medela and I love it. My friend has the Ameda and she told me that she has difficulty because the parts are sold in stores so she always has to go online for everything from customer service to parts.

Medela parts are sold in a lot of places and online. I've never had a problem with the pump not working properly.

ameda purely yours gets GREAT reviews on line, but they don't sell any of the parts in store which is a deterrent for me. however, my friend has the ameda and she said it totally does the job, is quieter, and cheaper.

Re: Breast pump question

Thank you! Hmm, well I live at least 40 mins from BRU and no where near BBB, so if I can buy parts online I don't mind. Ugh decisions.

Ameda is okay but the parts are a problem. I have used both and would definitely go with Medela.

I haven't tried the Ameda, but had great luck with the Medela and I used it for a full year.

Good luck! Chat Icon

Re: Breast pump question

Ok, so I'm on the BBB website. What is the difference between the PISA w/ Metro Bag and PISA backpack? Just the bag? There is a $50 difference due to the bag?

Re: Breast pump question

I used Medela PISA with DD and The Medela Freestyle with DS and i LOVE the Freestyle, love the portability of it. I have heard great reviews about Ameda although my experience is with Medela.

I have the ameda purely yours, and have been using it for a year. I like it a lot. Babies R Us does have some of the parts but most you have to order on line. I have two of everything "Just in case"

I'm not sure but I *think* maybe the metro bag comes with a mesh bag for parts...?

Go with the PISA, you won't be sorry. GL!

I was told by a BRU worker that the only difference is the bag.
