Both of ours were picked because they weren't family names. I was named after my great-grandmother and both of my parents sisters and I hated how confusing it was when we were around them.

DS is name after his dad.

We are TTC and already have names picked out for DC#2.

If we have another DS his middle name will be after my dad and FIL (they have the same name). His first name my DS picked out and we really loved it. It will make for a nice story when they get older.

If we have a DD her name is just two names that we completely fell in love with.

I never met a Josh I did not like. They all seemed to be fun guys.

Middle name Ethan...after the soccer player...not that we watch soccer, but we do watch Survivor Thought he was a cool guy with a cool name.

ita: its hard because we both come from rediciously huge baby making families, so we tried to pick names that weren't used.

He does have a cousin Josue though and a baby after josh was born is now named Ethan.

Chelsea is the only name DH and I could agree on. Her middle name Lynn is also my mom's middle name.

First name is one we both really liked, we did not want a name that was too trendy or to common. We wanted something classic without being too old fashioned.

Middle name is after my grandmother and mother.

Mine gets a little confusing but here I go...

My first set of twins names were Jonathen and Andrew....

My eldest daughter was born less than a year later..Her name is Ariel Jae...an A name and a J name for Jonathen and Andrew...

The twins were born in 99..their names are Alexis and Jaedyn..an A name and a J name again..and their middle names are Faith and Hope b/c all you need is a lot of Faith and a Little Hope...

Caden has 2 middle names...James and Aron...it's not a coincidence that we have J & A again..

We chose both names simply because we liked them and could agree on. No family connections at all.

Isabella is just because I love it, and Grace is the name of our little cousin (who I adore so much that it convinced me to get pregnant).

DH and I loved the name, and when DS was born, we had two others in mind, but Matthew fit him best.

It also means gift from God, and when I learned the meaning of the name, I liked it even better.

We named our Athan James after both his great-grandfathers. Athan was my maternal grandfathers' name and James was my boyfriends' maternal grandfather.

Both...we picked her first name because we both liked it and agreed on it. Her middle name is after DH's grandmother.

Robbie is named after his father. It wasn't the plan.. but when he came out and Rob fell in love he asked if we could name him Robert. His middle name is my father's first name and my maiden name. His last name.. well it's his dad's.

I just loved the name Noah and picked it solely for that reason. I picked Richard as a middle name because it is Rob's dad and I figured since my oldest is named after my dad I should honor his dad similarly. His father was not moved at all - could literally have cared less. And I don't love the name Richard.. so I am annoyed. My maiden name is also his 2nd middle name.

We picked names we liked. Ella's middle name happens to be my MILs name, but I almost didn't use it for that reason.

We're still working on names for #2, but the middle name, if a boy, will be after my grandfather.

we liked it! We didnt have any family names that werent already used to death so we just went with what we liked!

DD was originally going to be named Johanna which was my great-grandmothers name but I didnt like the idea of her being called jo or jo-jo. But i wanted a name that was traditional and not something trendy like a lot of the names today are so Johanna is her middle name. DH and I plan to give each of our DC a name of a memeber from my family.

Our kids first names were ones that we just liked.. the middle names mean something though.. Jordan has my brothers middle name that passed a few years ago, Mallorys middle name is after my DH and Addisons middle name is Brynn (the feminine version of my brothers name Brian)

DD name is Mya Jacklynn
Mya- just because we both like it
Jacklynn- my grandpas name was Jack and my middle name is Lynn so we combined them

if we has another child and it is a boy...not a clue what the first name will be but the middle name will be Charles..that is DH and FIL middle name

We both loved the name Zachary so that was the first nsme we went with. His middle name, Aidan, is for DH's grandfather (we used the first initial of A).

ds' name is jonah hudson.

jonah is a 'j' name we picked, after my dad, who passed away 5 years ago.

hudson is special to us because we met, went to school and lived right on the hudson river

My DD is named after my Grandmother and has my maiden name as her middle name. Funny thing is, people think she was named after a famous actress since those two names together do make it look that way.

But who cares, I love her name.
