Did you potty train with the use of diapers/pull ups?

I've managed to keep my dc dry with undies constantly taking him to the potty every 20 minutes or so this while taking care of two other children including a newborn. When my dh has to watch the kids he's quick to put on a pull up but will tell me he will bring dc to the potty. I told him this will confuse dc but dh doesn't like him having accidents on the floor or in his undies. Dh sometimes forgets to bring him to the potty.

Nope, during the day we went cold turkey........no pull ups. I kept in her panties all day. I had her trained in less than 3 days because she figured out real fast that dirty panties were disgusting whereas she wasn't very phased by the pull ups being dirty. At night she wore pull ups but woke up dry and clean 95% of the time, eventually we ditched those too.

Nope, i used padded cotton underware i bought online. We only needed them for a few days. I made a big deal that big girls dont wear diapers they go pee pee on the potty so I didnt want to confuse her . I do still use them for when she sleeps though because she had just yurned 2 when we started potty training and i felt that she wasnt ready for nighttime training.

We only used pullups at night, but after he had no accidents in those, we took those away too.

With my older ds yes. He thought the pull up was underwear and like the comfort of the padding. He didn't realize if he peed it wouldn't get him wet. So it was more like disposable underwear and he didn't have any accidents in them.
