At one point times if any did you put diapers back on or pull ups during potty training?

During the potty training phase especially at the start did you use diapers or pull ups at certain times or did you strictly remove diapers completely?

I still want to have him wear an overnight diaper when he goes to bed or is this something he has to grow out of too at age 3?

Also when we are visiting other people's homes I will put on a pull up. Did you do the same?

My concern is confusion. So, I'd like to know what everyone here did. TIA

We use pull ups at night because DS is a deep sleeper and typically is not dry in the morning. We also stayed home for a few days and really focused on potty training and when he seemed to be getting the hang of it, we started going to friends but brought the potty seat with us and just asked him every half hour or so if he had to go. It's confusing if you keep using diapers/pull ups. Get rid of them!

Once we started potty training, we did pull ups only at night and for outings only during the first week or so while he was learning the i gotta go sensation.

We kept him in pull ups, not diapers, for about a month afterwards at night.

Pull ups and diapers are the same thing. COLD turkey. Use one at night if you have to, but for outings and such, of you are really concerned, then put plastic underwear over regular underwear.

DD is only 26 months and we go out alot so i use pull-ups whenever we are not home and diapers at night.
I call the pullups her going out underwear so she doesn't really think they are diapers and she uses the potty well with them. it's just a safety measure for other's people's homes:) i would feel terrible if she had an accident on someone's couch because she was too busy playing

We still use overnight pullups on DD also... not every single night... but most nights. Sometimes she wakes up completely dry, others she is wet... so I'm not sure what to do either.
