Did Your Gas Dryer Smell The 1st Time You Used It?

Mine smells..sort of like a burning smell Chat Icon

Yes - apparently there is a film inside of it that needs to "burn off". When they installed ours over the summer, the guy told me to let it run empty for about an hour or two to get rid of the smell and not have it get transferred onto our clothing.

Oh crap, I have a load in there!

I took them out so it's running empty now. Thanks so much! They didn't tell me to run it on empty!

yes. they told me to run it twice at high to get rid of it.
