no, not at all.
i wouldn't let it.
she is my first baby. i still treat her the same. i have a little less time for her, but i give her all the love, affection and kisses that i did before. just like when i have my second child, i won't treat DS any differently, i won't treat my cat differently.

Dh and I are committing to this. Our dogs are our babies, and always will be. We currently do things based on our dogs, and plan to do the same when our child arrives. They are our family, they truly are our furry babies. I really think my male dog will love having a child around and will be my and the baby's shadows (always was my shadow). My girl may not care for it too much but I know will adjust. Their sweet faces melt me, even when they are alot of work.
To me, loving a child and a pet are equally important in my life. Pets are sweet and innocent and truly ours to love and nuture, lifelong babies let's say. Whereas children grow and mature, and eventually aren't babies. I love that my dogs will ALWAYS be my cuddly little babies, even if they get to be naughty.

Absolutely not! I love my dogs like they are my kids. They still get all the attention they deserve. My DD loves them so much also.
I just couldnt imagine not giving them the attention they deserve. Plus, i felt as though they would handle the baby better if they were treated the same way.

Yes unfortunately especially in the beginning when DD was a newborn and not sleeping through the night. I feel bad....my pets are my babies but they don't get as much attention as they did before. Now that DD is older we try taking walks as a family and bring Rocky with us....we even took him to Lancaster with us. He does act though...much more than before.
