Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
Just curious... If you had different pregnancies, were your DC genders different?
I am 7w pregnant with DC2 and so far this pregnancy is WAY different. Everyone is telling me that it's definitely a girl!
With my DS, I gained about 8lbs by this point (), had horrid "morning" sickness all day long and couldn't really eat anything other than crackers/bagels/etc.
This time around, I haven't gained any weight yet, no nausea at all, I eat everything and I've been having crazy cravings already.
I know it's still early and anything can happen, but I'm shocked as to how different this pregnany has been!

Re: Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
Two different pregnancies; two different genders.
I didn't have m/s with either of them and felt great.
No cravings. Aversion to eggplant and mint toothpaste. Otherwise, I could eat pretty much anything.
Cravings. Personality changed. Face changed. No specific aversions. I was was just picky about what I ate. (I couldn't bring lunch to work with me because I would never know what I wanted to eat until it was lunch time. I threw out a lot of food.) I ate a lot of carbs, sandwiches, bagels which I never really eat normally. And I couldn't stay away from sugar.

My second was the same as my first, only worse. Both boys.
This one was really fabulous. Didn't get sick once. Zumba'd up until 30 weeks. It's been a dream. I'm having a girl.

Re: Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
i've written this before- here is the ONE major difference i had with my and with DD i barely had to shave my legs/underarms. my hair growth slowed down so much! with DS it was totally different! i had to shave EVERY day or even by the end of the day there was stubble! i have no idea why or if that means anything but that is one thing i will always remember about those pregnancies

Re: Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
DS= Awesome pregnancy. Heartburn toward the end. A bit of naseousness here and there. Loved my carbs! Gained 20+ pounds.
DD= Sick anytime of the day, could not even look at chicken, let alone eat it. Loved cereal and that was about it. Gained about 8lbs or so. Was put on bed rest at 28 weeks or so in the hospital and she was born at 33 weeks.

This pregnancy is completely different. We don't know what we're having. I know quite a few people who had very different pregnancies and the same sex. I don't think it's any indication.

Re: Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
In the beginning my pregnancies were different - I carried higher with DD, was more nauseous, and didn't gain weight for 20 weeks BUT that was because I was 20 lbs overweight when I got pregnant with her
After the first trimester, it was pretty much the same

Re: Different Pregnanices = Different Genders? What is your experience.
My first trimesters were COMPLETELY different. When my DD #1, I had an amazing pregnancy- wasn't sick ever, felt great all the time, etc.
This time around, I had a crappy 1st trimester- nasesous 24/7, exhausted, etc- and I'm still having a DD!
