Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
Did any of you hear about some of the things people said at recent McCain/Palin rallies? It's pretty bad.
.Rally
Granted, ugly things are probably said at Obama rallies, but saying "kill him" about Obama? And yelling racial slurs at an African-American newscrew member?
What is wrong with people? I'm not Palin or McCain's biggest fan, but I wouldn't wish either one of them dead

I saw this earlier, I really fear for Obama if he wins, people are so ignorant. NO matter what your political views, to wish someone dead is really evil. this is a father and a husband, he has two adorable little girls.
I pray for him, if he makes it into office.

Re: Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
I'm so disappointed in McCain - he said as early as April that his campaign was never going to go negative. Palin made no such promise and honestly, the things she has said are disgusting. . . but I hold McCain to a higher standard.
Does McCain REALLY want to go down the 'guilt by association' road? Obama's team released the Keating 5 youtube clip - but there is so much more they can use.
Does McCain want to explain his relationship with G. Gordon Liddy - of Watergate fame? Liddy who wanted to blow up democratic headquarters, organize kidnappings of Nixon's opponents - but Nixon said no? Liddy, who would say in his addresses that the best way to kill Burea of Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco was a shot to the head - not the chest, as they are wearing bullet proof vests?
Does McCain want to explain his position on the board of the US Council for World Freedom, an organization that the anti Defamation league called the group a gathering for racists and anti- semites. (This was what Paul Begala said on Meet the Press - he wrote a book on McCain and did not include this stuff because he did want to play the guilt by association card)
Does Palin want to explain her church inviting a speaker who said that Israel got what it deserved because the Jews killed Jesus?
Does Palin also want to explain her being healed by a "witchdoctor" ?
Does Palin want to explain her husband being a member of an Alaskan secessionist party whose leader said he didnt give a damn about America?
No of course not - they'll just say that Obama pals around with domestic terrorists and hope that enough people will not do research. For Palin and McCain, apparently the people they have cultivated relationships with are different than a guy Obama was on a charity board with years ago - one who is not in any way affiliated with his presidential campaign.

It's disgusting, is what it is. I can't BELIEVE that in the year 2008, some people act like common neanderthals.

Re: Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
That is absolutely disgusting. I'm thinking that the McCain supporters may be feeling a bit desperate as Obama is clearly taking the lead in the polls and they are lashing out.

Re: Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
I read in the Daily Mail (courteousy fo Mike Drudge) that a man was shot with some kind of metal pellet gun in London for wearing an Obama tshirt. I don't know if this is true since the person reported it themself but it's a VERY frightening thing.

Re: Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
The comments came from a rally in Jacksonville, FL and there were some others in New Mexico.
I was really shocked by some of this, though I shouldn't be at all. We have more than our share of ignorant folks in this country, who aren't like you and me I say.
I agree Palin and McCain have been doing a lot of pot stirring which isn't helping, but really, people scare me.

very well said and written
I was horrified when I head Palin using this "domestic terrosit" propaganda at the Jacksonville debate
McCain and Palin are taking this campaign to new lows- it makes it obvious that he can't beat Obama on the issues- or he would be trying

This is the kind of element that's going to come out now, they are getting the extreme right-wing nutjobs- they are only a small part of McCain's base, but they are out there. At least McCain seemed shocked when that comment was made.

Last night I saw both- I think on MSNBC. If I remember correctly, the "terrorist" comment came while Palin was speaking, and the "kill him" comment came when McCain was speaking. I thought I heard wrong at first.
Here's a link to YouTube- it's about 16 seconds in. It's slightly muffled, but McCain makes a face, so he heard it too. LINK

Re: Disgusting Behavior at McCain/Palin Rally
I hears "terrorist" at the McCain rally on the radio... very disgusting
The problem is this is being spread by the media. Did anyone see the expose on Fox news? It was sickening and full of fear-mongering and lies

Ah I heard it now, Thanks for telling me how he made a face, that's what made me listen for it.
Well it's disgusting, but it wasn't McCain who said it. That doesn't make it right and it is disgusting that someone would say that.
