Disney - for boys?
What activities did you do with your boys? I was going to do the pirate adventure, but he is scared of characters so not sure he will be a fan of the pirates. DS is 4

Disney - for boys?
DS was just almost 3 when we went.
We did the Disney Jr Breakfast at Hollywood and Vine at Hollywood Studios (Special Agent Oso, June from Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and Jake) as well as a character breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey). For dinner - he really enjoyed TRex and Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney.
He loved the Magic Kingdom (especially Goofy's Barnstormer), the Animal Kingdom (the safari and the flying dinos) and Hollywood Studios (he liked seeing the Disney Jr show, the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground, and seeing Lightening McQueen and Mater).
It's funny - a friend of ours went a few years ago with his DD and did the whole princess thing and felt there was nothing for boys there - which isn't true by any means.
ETA - My DS did ok with the characters but, there were other kids who were a bit scared so they didn't get as close.

Re: Disney - for boys?
My DS was 4 when we went to Disney and he pretty much loved EVERYTHING. A huge hit was the "lights, camera, action" show at Hollywood Studios - they have movie cars characters there and it is pretty action packed. He LOVED it. We did most of the character dinners - he loved them all but, especially the Luau at the Polynesion - another big hit. We spent most of our time at the magic kingdom and his favorite ride was the cars that race around the speedway. He liked epcot as well - especially the Mexico pavillion. Overall though, really, he loved EVERYTHING!
Oh and, the game room at the hotel was a big hit too

That's exactly my issue. Seems like DD will love a few things, but can't decide what to book for DS.

Re: Disney - for boys?
The Pirate Cruise that leaves from several of the resorts doesn't have actual pirate costumed characters on it. At least not the times we did it. That would be fun
Jedi Training at Hollywood Studios would be fun if he likes Star Wars. Darth is in costume though, so maybe check it out first, then sign up the next day.

Re: Disney - for boys?
Would he dress up like a pirate? If so he could do the Pirates League at Magic Kingdom. You could also take him to get a haircut at the Harmony Barber Shop. They do colored hair gel and spikey dos for boys, but I heard they didn't for a time, but I now I hear it may be back (i'll check into that for you) There is also a prince package at Bippity Boppity Boutique.
As for character dining, the best boy ones in my opinion, are Tusker House, Disney Jr Play and Dine at Hollywood and Vine and Chef Mickey's.
Thanks for giving me a new topic for my blog!
