Hi- Can anyone tell me which dining plan you usually get? I am looking at the different options.

We are doing the Disney Disney plan. It's one quick, one table and two snacks a day. The deluxe is way too much.

If you don't plan on doing a lot of character dining you could also do the quick service plan and pay oop for table meals.

Thanks this answers my question. Didn't know if 3 meals a day was overkill.

Yes, Deluxe is A LOT of food and takes up too much park time. We are doing the Disney Dining Plan since I have character meals planned and those are pricey. I will be paying OOP for some meals though (those that aren't character dining).

Yes, we have a lot of character meals and those are def expensive. We'll use our ts credits for those and anything a la carte we'll pay oop.

That's where we are staying!

Are you staying in the Little Mermaid room or one of the suites?

Did anybody book the rivers of light dining package? It was just released. We are doing it with breakfast at tusker house.

Yes! We booked it too with tusker house.

To answer your question above, the FP's we booked are MK - Seven Dwarfs, Big thunder mountain, splash mountain. AK- Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, NaviRiver journey. Epcot- Soarin, the seas with nemo, turtle talk. I have boys so no frozen for them but if the lines aren't too crazy, I'm making them all ride it for ME. lol

what did you get?

Can anyone tell me on average how much airfare from NY to Orlando typically costs? I am looking now for November and it seems kind of pricey. Not sure how long before is optimal to book flights.

Totally depends. I booked our sept airfare on JetBlue the day they released our dates for sale. We got s really good price. $1009 for 4 people in the middle category which includes one checked bag per person. I checked again and the prices went up to 3300!! Then back down to almost 2400. Same exact flights.

Has anyone gone mid October? I was thinking 18-24th. We went in the beginning of December and it was amazing, so I keep going back and forth about doing December again or trying something different!

DH and I go every year in mid to late October for the food and wine festival. It's definitely busier than in December. Between the Halloween party and F&W it's becoming more and more crowded. The weather is still hot but cooler than the summertime.

We've been in October/November. The weather is great, not too hot and can even be quite cool on some days, especially in the morning. The parks aren't insane (generally speaking) but the Food and Wine Festival REALLY brings the crowds to Epcot, especially on the weekends. It was SO packed that you could barely walk through World Showcase let alone eat or enjoy anything.............especially with kids. We ended up just leaving that area and instead hung out in Future World which was nice and empty since everyone was at the F&WF.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is AWESOME fun, amazing fireworks and a fantastic parade. SO worth doing!!!

Disney 2017

Just added two more days to our reservation! August 29th until September 6th. All my reservations are made and now just waiting to see if the free dining comes out and if I have to move hotels to qualify or what not.

I gave my TA the go ahead to change us to anything within 1,000.00 to get that free dining lol!

Rumor has it that free dining will drop on Monday.

I am between AoA and POR (if POR doesn't get excluded from free dining)
