Re: Disney in August
We went last Year second week of August and it was fine- high 80s low 90s and cloudy most of the week-crowds were not bad. We are thinking about going again this summer too. We did the go early break in the afternoon and go back at night a couple times...we also went in the afternoon and just stayed till close. You can definitely get a lot done if you go at rope drop.

Re: Disney in August
We always go the last week in August. It's so much less crowded than a school break. It's hot, but not the worst thing in the world.

I saw!! This week they had HIGH 90's!! I just checked the Orlando 10 day forecast and THANK GOD the heat streak is breaking............we leave ONE week from today and I booked May because it's usually a pleasant time to be there. It's dropping to the low to mid 80's. I could deal with that. 97??? KILL ME!
I went last April, thinking it wouldn't be that bad...and it was in the mid to high 90's. I had an 8 year old and a 10 month old....

Re: Disney in August
We usually went first week of September (before kids started school).
Yes, it was warm. I wouldn't call it crazy hot though (I've gone in July). It's definitely tolerable. Our kids are late risers (we trained them that way when babies because I worked late), so we did a lot of the park in the evening and night. Late August this year starts the not so scary Halloween party... and I love that. I would just do that and cool off in the pool for the mornings.
Worst heat I've had was Arizona in July. It was 114. You just can't be outside in 114. We actually ended up leaving for trips outside to cooler elevations.

Re: Disney in August
I'm the biggest B in heat and humidity and we went in August and NO ONE complained...not even me. It's Disney - if you're having fun, hitting rides that get you wet, in stores, or indoor rides - you're in and out of AC or cooling off somehow. Seriously if I can do it - anyone can!

Disney in August
we have done August and doing it again this August. It was hot but it was fine. I think the low crowds really help. and we planned a lot of sit down meals for breaks. We also go with knowing if its too hot or we cant handle it - we go back to the resort and chill a little.
If you go in August I would 100% recommend staying on property. It is so much easier to go back and fourth and we did that a lot to take breaks
