Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
Which do you think they'd enjoy more, I know one is a weekend thing and the other is more of a few days, but just curious! Thx!

Our DC are the same age and I'd say Sesame Place. I plan to do Sesame Place this summer and probably both next year. Disney with my sister and her kids in the Spring and Sesame Place in Summer.

I would do and am going to take DD to Sesame this summer but not doing Disney until later, maybe next year at 3 years old.

You really cannot even compare the two. Sesame is a day trip place so you can do both.

I know, but just curious if in general one will be more enjoyable than the other...

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
I think both. We took DD to Sesame Place when she was 18 months and she had a blast.
BUT she also had a really good time when we took her to Disneyland in Sept. She's been to Disney World twice (at 5 months and 10 months) and enjoyed the rides and characters a lot.

I think I will do Sesame Place before Disney. I want the big Disney trip to be at a time DD will really remember the experience.

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
I think it depends on your child. DS will be 3 yo about 2 months after we go to Disney.
I don't think he would have done well at 18 months. He just was not into the characters, the rides, etc... We went to Land of Make Believe when he was 2. It was much more appropriate for him at the time.
Now, he will be more ready.
Some kids go at 18 months and are into everything.

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
We did both with DS when he was about 18 months. They were totally different types of things. If we could do either as a day trip I would think Sesame would be more fun for them. But at the same times, DS enjoyed Disney WAY more then I even expected him to at 18 months.

Magic Kingdom has a ton of rides for kids....we took Kaydyn on everything that wasn't a roller coaster. We took her on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Carousel of Progress and all the rides in FantasyLand.
There's less for them to do at the other parks but still a good amount of rides and shows for them.

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
I'd say they are different since sesame is a weekend/day trip while disney requires a flight. If they were both in the same geographic area, I'd probably pick disney over sesame place.
We plan to do both this year. We will do Sesame Place in the summer when DS is about 16m old and Disney in the fall when he is about 19m old.
We also want to do Dutch Wonderland and Hershey. I've read on here that those are a bit more friendly for toddlers.

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
Disney hands down....We did Disney when my DS was 15 mos and again when he was 27 mos and he had a blast both times. We did Sesame when he was 24 mos and I really would not rush back there at all. Overcrowded, poorly run, etc. We barely went on any rides because the lines were outrageous and we did do a summer weekday. Didn't get to any shows. Mostly spent the day in the Counts water park thingy (in the pool art because he didn't like the climbing thing much but my 4.5 yr old loved the climbing part) and the baby water park areas.
As another poster said - many of the rides are toddler friendly at Disney esp at Magic Kingdom.

Re: Disney or Sesame for an 18 mos old?
we took DD to sesame when she was about 18 months. it was the summer and she really liked the water rides. and the characters, we looked at it as a warm up to disney.
we took her to disney when she was a little over 2. she definitely enjoyed it more then she would have at just 18 months.
