Disney restaurants for 4 year old?

Which one would you choose? We have a choice between eating dinner at the Coral Reef or Norway in Epcot with the princesses?
We'll be doing a character breakfast and a princess breakfast if that matters....

DD will be 4 and is super into the princesses. Thanks!!

Coral Reef is nice - but the food can be okay or bad (we had good experiences and not good there - but we still go there most trips).

We did the Princess Storybook dinner this past trip and the girls LOVED it (DD#1 was almost 3 and DD#2 turned 1 the day after we ate there). I would definitely go back there.

You get a photo with one of the princesses it rotates who is there - our family photo was with Belle. Then 4-5 princesses rotate around the tables while you eat. It is buffet appetizer, plated entree (you pick off a menu but as I understand it you can - we didn't - order more than one, and a plated family style dessert). They won't give you any indication as to which princesses will be there (even if you ask 1 hour before you go) - we had Ariel, Snow White, Aurora, and Cinderella come to our table. I understand from time to time - Mulan and some of the other princesses make appearances - but there will always be one for a photo and 4 who rotate. I would say for our meal 80-85% of the girls wore costumes - there were many who were ages 3 and up.

Even if you are also doing either Cinderella's castle or 1900 Park Faire dinner - I would still do the Princess storybook meal (cheaper than eating at the castle and only 1 meal credit rather than the 2 for the castle) - with a 4 year old girl which will be more fun for them over Coral Reef. If you can do both restaurants that is great too - but with a 4 year old the princess would probably be more fun than the fish tanks which you might or might not sit near.

Is the Princess Storybook dinner the same as the one in Norway -or a different one? Thanks for much for the advice.

Is the breakfast in Cinderella's castle worth the money?

It is the same one!

Well you can dine with Cinderella at other locations for less money - the draw really (in addition to seeing Cinderella) is eating in the castle. I think it is definitely worth doing at least once. But it is expensive or it is 2 dining credits rather than the 1 credit that Akershus (Norway) one charges. I decided for US since I have my 12 month old and my almost 2 year old that I would hold off until we go again and the girls are older and will appreciate it more. For us my DD was so wrapped up in the princesses that I doubt she would have cared about the castle. Your DD is 4 right? She might really enjoy it.

Well you get a photo with Cinderella and then children 3-9 get I think a wand or a sword (depending on girl or boy). With the Norway one you get a photo (princesses change I understand) so you don't know who it will be with but you do also get to see several princesses. It used to be the fairy godmother at dinner at the castle and some mice - but I think they changed it back to Cinderella in 2/2010.

I don't think the food is that great at either location no matter whether you choose dinner, breakfast or lunch. Really the castle is a whole experience and that is really what you are paying for (and I think there is a photo package rather then just one photo that you get at the Norway restaurant).

You have 2 girls - I say go for princesses!!! In a few years they won't be as exciting - enjoy it while the excitement is still strong. Kevin is only 5.5 yrs now and he says the characters are for babies - so sad!!! He'd do them but he says they are for babies!!! I went to disney the past two years so at least he had some character time. Last year we went with my nieces who said they had a best time at the princess breakfast!! One of the biggest highlightsof their trips - they were 3 and 4 yrs old. Enjoy!!! When are you going to Disney?
