Disney with 4 year old and 4 month old-Advice
I've received so many different pieces of advice on how to handle this (baby equipment related) that I'm so confused.
Both will need a stroller for Disney. Both will also need carseats because we're staying off-site and renting a car.
We're bringing both car seats. Checking the 4 yo's seat and gate checking the infant seat.
Stroller wise ... help!
I have a snap n'go, a metrolite and a joovy sit n' stand. There is also an umbrella stroller at our rental. And we can rent a double for the parks.
We're planning on doing the parks for 2 or 3 days.
What should I bring/rent?
Does anyone know if a 4 month old is too small for a citi mini double. He's a BIG 4 month old. With the heat I'm not sure I want him confined to the infant seat. We're going end of June.
Thanks!

Re: Disney with 4 year old and 4 month old-Advice
I went with a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old last summer. It was SO hot while the snap & go would be easy with the car seat I avoided it as I didn't want him to over heat. I brought my 'full size' stroller for him and a very lightweight one for my older DS. I wanted the baby to be as comfy as possible as I knew he would be napping in the AM in it as well. So I brought my peg perego p3 and a maclaren volo. We ended up parking the volo alot in stroller parking but it was good to have as he got tired. The only reason I didn't bring my double is it is BOB and I didn't want to bring it on the plane. I also bought stroller fans for them to keep them cool. I am pretty sure you could put your 4 month old in the citymini, but maybe someone else can speak on that. I didn't mind having 2 strollers though, we kept the full size with us and parked the light weight one a lot. It made it easier if he was sleeping when we ate, I didn't have to worry about fitting a double in the restaurant. HTH!

Re: Disney with 4 year old and 4 month old-Advice
I took my city mini on our last trip when DD turned 1 on the trip (almost exactly a year ago - DD's birthday is 5/23). It worked out perfectly. She napped a lot in the stroller. I know it doesn't compare to a 4 month old - BUT I DID have the stroller when she was 4 months and I used it all the time for walks etc. So I definitely think it would be a good option. You won't want to deal with finding 2 strollers in the sea of strollers and it is just easier to deal with just one. I would bring the city mini - if that is a choice (do you own one or are you renting one down there?) - I got the city mini b.c I knew we were going to disney when DD#2 was 3 months old and I just figured we might as well get a lot of use from it.

Re: Disney with 4 year old and 4 month old-Advice
thank you both...we don't have a citi mini, we would be renting it.
I suppose since it does recline back DS#2 should be fine. I was just concerned with him being slouchy.
ok, so I'm thinking I'll bring the metrolite so that I don't always have to have baby confined to the infant seat. And rent citimini for the parks.

Re: Disney with 4 year old and 4 month old-Advice
We went to Disney last November, when my DS was 4 and my DD was 6 months. It wasn't too hot, so we kept my DD in the infant carrier for most of the time, but the only stroller we brought was the Sit n' Stand. My 4 year-old doesn't nap anymore, and he was usually running around, so the Sit n' Stand worked perfect for us - he used the stroller for long walks, and DD was in the carrier in the front. It was a lot easier than having to deal with two strollers for all of the stoller parking and manuevering in restaurants.
