Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I do. I am not sure if there will be a number 2, I get sad at the thought of never being pregnant again but I get scared out of my bird to think I'd have to do it with a baby and trying to do a full time job during a nap. We'll see. But I definitly miss it at times.

I know it sounds crazy with all the stuff we have to go through for nine months. I have a planned c section on Wednesday and part of me is sad that I won't be pregnant anymore. I love feeling the baby everyday and knowing that I'm providing a safe place for him/her. Believe me, I can't wait to meet my little one, but I'm starting to get a little down as well. Can anyone relate?
I know exactly how you feel. Right before I went in for my C section I started to get teary because I would no longer be pregnant, and I would now have to share my babies with the rest of the world. I was even worse because we knew our family would be complete once DC were born.

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I distinctly remember being on the OR table right after DS was born and they were puttin gme back together from the section, and I was OVERJOYED that my little man was here!
THEN...I reached down to the top of my ribs and felt...nothing...no pain, just FLATNESS- I was so happy. So no, I did not like being pregnant at all.
Hated the attention Hated the comments Hated feeling like a whale

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
Ok so as I am now I don't miss being pregnant, but I know exactly how you feel- I felt good that my baby was inside me where I knew she was safe, and I wanted to keep her in there as long as possible. I also missed those kicks (I felt phantom kicks for a while after birth!).

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
nope.
I had a very easy pregnancy, and generally liked being preggo, but I don't miss it. And I'm not looking forward to being PG again (someday).

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I LOVED LOVED LOVED being preggo.
Sure, there are some things that were not so fun: swollen feet in the last few weeks, long days chasing 2 toddlers c/s recovery (the first few days )
But everything else is just priceless. I think a pregnant woman, whether myself or the lady walking the mall, is just beautiful. There's just something going on that's truly amazing. There's a creation of life, a baby in the making, a connection between 2 people that is so profound, so strong and so deep that noone can come between them.
That feeling of closing your eyes for a second, even if youre online at the grocery store and having that heart to heart communication (even if the other heart is teeny tiny ) and just grinning or chuckling as you feel that kick or rumble.
That feeling of being in a room of 300 people, yet feeling like you and your baby are the only 2 people that have this little secret world of your own.
and then it's sharing the pregnancy with your other children, and seeing it all through their eyes, hearing what they have to say (some of the questions )
I can also say that Ive felt better looking in the mirror at my preggo belly, whether in sweats or in a formal gown, than looking in the mirror on a really great "skinny" (non-preggo) day. and we know that great feeling of losing a few pounds, working out and feeling great but something about pregnancy and everything I mentioned that supersedes all those other great moments.
and then seeing this little bundle that youve spent all this time bonding with... oh the rivers come flooding as soon as that baby is placed by my face..
So yes, I truly LOVE being preggo. The positives by far outweigh the negatives..
and then it's approaching your baby's 1st birthday and being in complete denial that a year has gone by...

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
NO!!!!!!!!
I had a wonderful pregnancy..I was NEVER SICK and besides her feet being stuck in my ribs, everything was basically fine up until the end.
BUT..I didnt enjoy being pregnant mentally. I was SO SCARED! I was scared of the unknown, scared of labor and delivery, scared of the biggest change of my life. So that overshadowed SO MUCH of my pregnancy. It makes me really sad now. I felt like my body was being taken over by this little person that I couldnt relate to because I couldnt see her (except on sonos).
Once she was born..all of that went away. I look back now and thank God every day for blessing me with a wonderful pregnancy. It could have been so much worse.
Im hoping when I have my 2nd, I will be able to enjoy it more because now I know what to expect.
I do miss maternity clothes and special treatment though I gotta admit. I am probably one of the few that LOVED my maternity outfits. I think I dressed better pregnant than I dress on a normal basis! LOL

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I cried the morning of my c-section because I didn't want my baby to be missing from my belly. When people would ask me if I was tired of being pregnant I would say "No way, she can stay in there forever! I don't want her to come out" and my FH told me it was creepy, lol. But even now when I get a muscle spaz in the belly area I miss having a baby in there kicking around.

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I was fortunate to have a rally good pregnancy and even worked all the way to the end. I do miss being pregnant but more because DS was with me all the time. I miss having him with me...I used to talk to my belly all the time and absolutely loved feeling him move...I do miss that a lot..especially when we are apart.

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I felt the best I've ever felt when I was pregnant. I never felt sick and was in this euphoric state my whole pregnancy. I loved growing and knowing that my little baby was in there. I can't wait to be pregnant again!!! (I was even on bed rest for a while and still enjoyed it all!)

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I had a wonderful pregnancy and despite being classified as high risk, I was symptom free.
I guess I do miss it at times moreso because I always knew it was my one and only time at it.
With DD and DS in one pregnancy we know our family is complete

Me too. I hope to have #2 around the same time of the year so I can wear all of my maternity clothes again. I love them more than my regular clothes. Maybe I need to go shopping (for nicer regular clothes) Lately I feel so frumpy. I definitely dress like a mom now. I loved being pg. I hope I can say the same thing when I have DD to chase after/take care of.

Re: Do any of you moms miss being pregnant?
I say it every day how much I miss being pregnant. DH and I are already discussing when to have #2! I truly loved every moment of it, even the rough patches. Because to me, it was such an unbelievable miracle that I was just beyond happy.
