Do I need a full bladder for

my 20 week sono? For some reason I remember needing to drink a lot before one of the sonos with my son but the Dr. didn't mention it this time.
Does anyone recommend drinking OJ or another sugary drink beforehand so that the peanut is moving around or is that just a myth?

Re: Do I need a full bladder for

i don't think they ever really mentioned having to drink lots to me...i usually did a little...I had 5 m + m's for my 20 week...someone told me it'd work....it did and we found out she was a girl, but then she squiggled back into place so we had to go back for her spine and other parts of the body the next week....so maybe do a few more than 5 Chat Icon ! good luck!

I don't think so although they may not let you go to the b-room while you are there. I can't remember what the sign said. But you don't have to drink anything specifically for the sono.

My level 2 is aug.7 and they told me to have a full bladder when I arrive. They said to start drinking water about an hour before I go. My best friend is doing my level 2 sono and she said it is easier to see when the bladder is full.

I was not told to drink before but when I got to the appointment, I asked to use the bathroom. The tech said if I could wait it would be better. So I waited.
