Gall Bladder
Anyone have a problem with this? I posted earlier how I had terrible gas pains this morning. Well it came back tonight - I was in a lot of pain and got really scared. I called the Dr.'s office and spoke to the covering Dr. He said he thinks it's my gall bladder He said to eat very plain food. Nothing fried and nothing spicy. He said the pain is too high for it to be the baby (thank God). I have my 8 week Sonogram on Monday.
Do you think I should call the office tomorrow & explain my situation? The Dr. also said I may want to have them do a sonogram of my gall bladder to make sure no stones.
Any advice would be helpful.
TIA

Re: Gall Bladder
The pains are on your left or right side?
I had gas pains that mimicked gall pain, it's good your dr is being cautious. I was told pregnancy causes the body to go out of whack sometimes, and can cause gall bladder issues. My pains wound up being backed up gas that went up my back.
i have had stones before and they disolved themselves, not from pg though.

Re: Gall Bladder
The pain is right in the middle right by my belly button and a little above. I swore it was gas this morning. Now I wonder.

Re: Gall Bladder
I had very sharp pains about 4 months after my son was born, I had to have my gallbladder removed. There were about 200 gallstones. I would keep track of what you eat and if the pain starts, it was always something fried or greasy that set mine off. The pain always started late at night when I was sleeping too. It was an extremely sharp pain right in the middle of my chest, between my ribs. I would definitely contact your doctor if you are concerned.
