Do people really look in other people's cabinets?

I can honestly say I've never looked in someone's cabinets unless it was:

1-my moms house
2-my bffs house in search of a tampon
3-someones house and I ran out of TP

I remember seeing a post on here, not sure who wrote it, but it referenced searching peoples cabinets. And I also remember that Southwest commercial...

so tell me, do you do this? And why?

I'm with you. I don't remember ever going into someone's cabinets unless I need to replenish the TP.

I only do this at my mom's. Sometimes, I'm not even hungry and I just like to look to see what she has. I think it just reminds me of when I lived at home.

Isn't there a prank where you take your medicine cabinet off the wall, fill it with ping pong balls, and put it back on the wall. Then, if anyone snoops during a party, they get busted!

I've honestly never done it. It's a pretty awful thing to do- a real invasion of privacy.

Nope don't do that one.

I asked once about looking behind closed shower curtains and I think that was mentioned in the responses.

Never have. If I need TP, I quickly look for something near the toilet. If I don't find it I go to the host.

I never have BUT I keep my medicine cabinet as neat as possible in case someone who is visiting does snoop!

well I was at my friends house the other day and I was getting a drink and I went in her cabiinet to get a glass, I don't think thats weird. To look in other peoples cabinets for no reason I think is nosy. If I were house hunting though, I would definitely look in the cabinets...

to be honest... i look in EVERYONE's medicine cabinets...

i know it's wrong but i can't help myself...

i also love to looking into peoples open curtains when i'm walking my dog...

yes they do.

i never have.

but i had a friend who openly admitted to looking through people's medicine cabinets. anyone's medicine cabinets that is. i always wanted to do the marble trick to her. haha.

she also would go through your belongings and other drawers and stuff.... without you knowing.

we aren't friends anymore.

Actually.... i do admit, I may have looked under the sink cabinet in the bathroom if I really needed a tampon .... but I usually ask anyway. And that would only be in an emergency situation.
I also keep pads and tampons in my bathroom sink cabinet, just in case anyone is over and needs one they can easily look and grab one.

I have on occasion, but bc I was looking for something... not to just snoop... But I do know other people do this so if Im having people over, I double check the cabinets sometimes to make sure nothing "wild" can be found LOL

ETA: When I was showing Dh's friend our house and showed him our new bedroom furniture, he actually opened up one of the drawers right in front of me... and of course it was my undies drawer... who does that?!?! But if you knew him, you'd know it was his typical weird behavior on his part

I would never go into someone's cabinets! Honestly, I feel uncomfortable going into my sister's medicine cabinet to get something like tylenol or tums, and she and I are super close. I would never look for those things at a friend's house. I would always ask the host for what I needed.

If I was helping a friend set the table for dinner, I might ask, "are your glasses in here?" and then open the cabinet to get what we need.

I would not go into anyone's bedroom drawers under ANY circumstances, unless they told me to do so. I would be appalled if someone was in my cabinets!

Nope. I never do this unless Im at my moms house.

Yep ... like Tylenol or something ... but most times I would just ask the host/hostess if they had any rather than going through their stuff.

However, I have a friend who decided to take a shower during someone's dinner party ... in the master bathroom (there are 4 full baths in this house) ... so I guess my common sense is not shared by all.
