Do tall babies walk later?
DH has a theory that DS will be a late walker because he is extremely long/tall (30" now at 6 months exactly; always over the 100 percentile in height). Do long babies walk later due to the added height? His legs seem very strong and he can stand supporting himself on the table.

I wouldn't think there's a correlation, but I have no idea. I can't believe how tall your DS is. He's almost 2 inches taller than my 1 year old.

Landon was also off the charts for weight and height at 6 months. He was 22 lbs and 29 inches. He started pulling to standing himself at 6 months, walking with push toys at 7 months, a few steps here and there at 9 months, and full on walking just before 11 months.

Re: Do tall babies walk later?
I def. think so! DS is so tall off the charts. he is also very thin and has a 97% headsize, he literally just started walking the day he turned 15 months. he has been standing and pulling up on his own since 8 months and cruising since 10 months. I think they grow so fast, it's hard for them to balance, his growth is just started to slow now.

Re: Do tall babies walk later?
I am not sure - but DS has always been in the 75th to 80th percentile for height, and was a late walker (15 months).

Re: Do tall babies walk later?
Not sure about the correlation but DS was always 85-90% and walked kind of late (14 mos).

It's been insane--he is literally flying through sizes. My MIL bought him a 12-month outfit for Christmas, which she exchanged because he is now in 18 month sizes (will be 6 months tomorrow), and also wearing 2T for length! He was long at birth (22.5"), but DH's uncle is 6'5" and the men in DH's family are all 6'2" or taller and we think he is going to be VERY tall! I'm 5'3" so carrying around this huge 5 month old has really been a PITA! (or more like a pain in my back!)

Wow! DS still easily fits into 12 month clothing. He's definitely a peanut.
That must be tough to carry him around.

My DS was 95th % for height and off the charts for weight and he started walking at 9 months. He was running by 10 months. So he contradicts that. But I don't know, it could generally be true
ETA- Even though he walked early, he's always been a bit clumsy and still is. I definitely think that is related to his height. Height calculators have him at about 6'4". My DH is about 6'3".

Re: Do tall babies walk later?
My DD has been off the charts since she was two months old. I don't remember how tall she was, but she walked at 10 months and she was wearing 18/24 month sizes at the time.
ETA- she did roll over later and she barely crawled.
