Do you believe in psychic mediums?
My Mother died on 8/4. I remember my Mom going to a medium when her mother died and they told her things only my grandmother and her knew. Anyone know of any good ones?

Yes, Robert E. Hansen in Seaford. My family and I have been to him on a couple of occasions - he's incredible.
He also does private sessions as well.

I went with my mom and grandmother shortly after my grandfather passed away. I was skeptical- but it was truely amazing the things she knew- that nobody could know.
For example-
I had had a miscarriage a couple weeks before I went, and was obviously devastated. She knew that I had a miscarriage, and told me that my grandfather had my baby and would take care of it. That was such an amazing experience to actually KNOW that. Many are skeptical, but after that- I would go again in a heartbeat.

I believe closure. Knowing that you can have some kind of contact with a deceased family member and know that they're OK can bring closure to someone who's lost a loved one.
I have a cousin who was kidnapped, held captive while being raped and toutured for 10 days.
Every year for the last 7 years my family and I have held a letter writing campaign to keep the man who did that to her in jail. He was sentenced to 25 - life so after the first 25 he came up for parole.
Now at the last session we had, he brought this up saying she was thanking us for writing the letters. We've never told a soul outside of the family about this so there was NO way he could have known.
I can't explain it, but just KNOWING that she KNOWS about the letter campaign brought a peace and sort of calm to the family.
I hope this helps explain it.

It did, thank you! Although I always do wonder if people inadvertently give out some kind of info to the phychic that later comes up during the session...
It is terrible what happened to your cousin! I am so sorry! What a horrific situation! I hope the animal who did it stays in jail for the rest of his disgusting life!!

don't know of any good ones but I believe in them and have an interesting story as to why...
an old friend of mine from when I lived in London died a few years ago...
The night I found out (after he was buried) I sat in my room and cried... for some reason, I felt his presence so I started talking to him about how much I loved him and how sorry I was for not keeping in touch better.
His girlfriend contacted me about a week later and told me she went to a medium and she told her that HE said to tell caz that he loves her too and to never feel sorry.
I did NOT tell his girlfriend about talking to 'him'
It was amazing and really brought me some kind of peace.

I hear ya on being skeptical and concerned that someone may have leaked something. We, as a family, felt the same way and were extremely careful not to talk about ANYTHING while waiting to get in. It was actually very funny!! Picture an italian family trying NOT to speak!!! NOT an easy task!!! 
As for the bastid that did that to my cousin, we pray he'll remain behind bars as long as we're around to send the letters!

I have met w/ Josephine ...she was good. She also does group readings in restaurants. Rwecently at the West Sayville Country Club or you can arrange a private group reading with her.

To be honest, it's way to affirm what everyone tells you when you lose a loved one. I hear from people all the time, your dad is here in spirit, etc
I think a medium would give some validity to statements like that.
jmo, DH thinks I am crazy to believe.

We do not go in our family because of what happened with my great grandma.
She went to see one. We are talking 1950's. The old lady told her she would love a loved man within the next few days.
My great grandpa had cancer and she thought it would be him and she thought she was OK with it.
One of her son died in a freak accident in the military. Someone shot him with his own riffle while "playing" thinking it did not have a life amunition. He died 3 days after she went to the medium.
