Do you drink soda or coffee????

I had 1 diet coke a day during my first pregnancy. Now with this one I am more lax. I have one in the morning and one in the afternoon- it helps with the nausua.

With all of this news lately on caffeine being linked to miscarraige, my Mother is scaring me.

Can I drink a soda a day, or am I risking this baby's life???? I dont drink coffee or eat much chocolate.

What about caffeine free diet soda?? That should not be as bad I would think, even though caffeine free stuff still has a trace of it. I don't think it is a problem if it's not often.

I was drinking a big can of Lo Carb Monster every day until I got my BFP, but as soon as I got it, I cut myself off. I don't drink caffeine or soda at all while I am pregnant.

I am not 36 weeks pregnant and I drank soda all the time and iced tea. I drink tea and iced tea like it's going out of style. I did cut out the coffee because that always gives me a bit of a high. I cut down on the coffee when I was pregnant with DS two years ago and I continued that pattern. I will mix 75%decaf and 25%caf from time to time.

Caffine free is a good idea.

I have coffee and soda sporadically throughout the pregnancy. There are some days where I just need the caffeine. But when I do that I usually cut it.... half caff/half decaf.

I am 37 weeks tomorrow, and my is doing well so far!

I had a cup of coffee every day. My Dr. said one cup was ok. I stayed away from the soda though. Didn't ant a double dose.

i can't drink anything with a lot of caffeine in it anyway, so i am not worried - i stick to decaf tea and coffee and non-caffeinated drinks like sprite and seltzer.

On weekends I will have one can of soda - caffeine free.

I stopped drinking coffee when I got pg, I somehow lost the desire to drink it anyway.

I gave up coffee completely because after getting pregnant, I couldn't stomach the site or smell of it. Now I switched to tea, and I'm getting so sick of it already. I only drink a sip of DH's soda when he has some, but just for the taste.

I drink soda, coffee and tea. Not alot but I do...maybe 1 soda a day and a tea or coffee everyday or every other day. 99% of the time its caffine free but not always.

Coffee just about every morning, and soda every once in a while.

I drink a cup of coffee each day, although most times it ends up being half a cup. But I absolutely will have a pepsi if I'm in the mood.

Everything I drink is naturally decaffienated, except for an occasional soda.

I drink alot of water and on the weekend I will have one soda- I make that my treat for the week.

Since getting pregnant I have not touched a drop of coffee or soda. The only caffeine I have had is through desserts like cake or ice cream.

I don't miss it too much, but will be nice to be able to have it again.

I never drank either prior to pregnancy...except for an occassional root beer (a decaffeinated one) and a ginger ale when I was sick.

I drink 1 cup of coffee in the morning. If I don't I get the worst headache from withdrawal. The cup is about 8oz. If I happen to skip my cup, I will drink 1 can of diet pepsi or coke w/ my lunch. That's it.

I stopped the coffee cold turkey as soon as I got my BFP I'll have an occasional soda here and there and I'll drink a sprite or ginger ale(caffeine free) every other day or so to help with the nausea..

I mostly drink water, gatorade and cranberry juice

I have bottles of Sprite, Cherry 7up, Ginger Ale and Brich Beer at home - all caffeine free. I dont drink it much though

I have had 2 glasses of caffeine free diet coke so far in my pregnancy and they were GOOD!! lol

I have been a little obsessed with Iced Tea lately. I bought Organice Iced Tea/Lemonade from Trader Joes to help that urge

I try to avoid having coffee in the mornings now, but if I do, I get decaf.

I drink 1 decaf coffee every morning. I also drink seltzer or caffeine free root beer when I'm in the mood for something with carbonation.

I dont but let me tell you I would kill for a fountain diet coke!

The only soda I drink is gingerale (caffeine free) if I do have a cup of coffee only decaff. As for the diet soda I have been told not to drink that because of the Aspartame (artificial sweetener) is not good for the baby.
