Do you grieve taxes every year?
I grieved 2012/2013 using a firm and they were able to get my assessment lowered and my school tax dropped by $900.
I just got a letter from the firm requesting my permission for them to start the grievence process again for 2014/2015.
I never really thought about this but is this something that is typically done every year?
I guess if you only owe the firm if they are successful it can hurt right?
Thanks!

Thanks! I just feel like everyone always made it seem like a one shot deal. I guess the lawyer wouldnt waste his time if there wasnt a decent chance of reduction.

Re: Do you grieve taxes every year?
Yes. Our lawyer said we have no shot this year but we did it on our own and got a reduction Our taxes still went up for 2013 but just a small amount . 200 instead of 700 increase

You can request it to be done again, the company will let you know if you have a shot.

Do you grieve taxes every year?
We grieved them whenever there was a significant change in the assessment or the housing market. We do it ourselves since it's so easy. We always get a reduction with which we are satisfied.
