Do you have a "junk drawer"? And if so....
where is it?
We do, actually, we had 2 One in the server I have in my kitchen, and one in a drawer of the cabinets. I hate having a junk drawer, to me, it's wasted space, but what do you do with all that stuff that you don't want to throw away, btu don't really need all the time?

I actually have two junk cabinets
They are oddly shaped because they are on the ends, and they really don't serve a purpose for anything. So I just throw random things in them.

One in my kitchen. It has coupons and credit cards so I don't have to carry them and a few tools, pens and lint picker upper.

Hmmm ... at least three in the kitchen area that is supposed to be a "desk".
One drawer is batteries, sewing kits, nuts, bolts, tape measure, etc
One drawer is take out menus/coupons, pens, scrap paper, etc.
Other drawer is DH's papers/bills/receipts, vet receipts & dogs meds.
I think there's also JUNK crammed into one shelf of the cabinet above the drawers and one shelf in the cabinet below the drawers ...
Sounds like a spring cleaning project to add to the list!!

We have one small one in the kitchen. We have packing tape, a flashlight, some batteries, coupons, our cell phone & iPod chargers, gum. . .random things like that in there. I just cleaned it out this past weekend and organized it actually.

In our coffee table in the den. We have directions for the Wii, dog comb, chapstick, nail clipper, bag of dog treats, post-its, pens, pencil and other crap I don't remember.

One draw in my kitchen. I cleaned it out recently, so it's not too bad right now.
But I can't even think about our office.  It's one big junk room right now. After we finish working on our Family Room that is our next project to organize, throw out and make files and shelves in that room.

Right now it is in the kitchen.... but i need the space in there so i think i am moving it into the spare room....which already has 2.... so in total i have 3 junk draws....I really need to clean them out!

we have one in the kitchen....I hate it, but I always know where the "junk" is - rubber bands, lint brush, random nails, screws, etc., lighter for candles, etc.

I have one in my kitchen and I dont think its going anywhere soon. I keep super glue, batteries, a couple screws, a screw driver, recipe clippings...all kinds of crap in it!

We have two, they're the top drawers in the island in our kitchen.
They have pens, pencils, envelopes, batteries, calculators,coupons,stamps, etc.
I did buy drawer organizers for them though, to keep them semi-neat and once every few months I go through them, throw things out and reorganize.

I have one small junk drawer in the kitchen that hold scissors, pens/pencils/markers, tape business cards, calculator, some small tools, picture hangers/nails, etc. All of the other stuff that I don't use that often but I don't want to throw away I keep in a small plastic bin in my linen closet (I actually have several in my closet). It keeps me organized.

I have one in our bakers rack, it has pens, take menus, candles & lighters, glue, tape and a few other things. DH just cleaned recently.
I also "gave" DH a drawer in our island for a few basic tools & stuff even though he has a huge workshop in the basement

this is what i am trying to figure out....we just bought a house and the kitchen only has 4 drawers! it's a really small kitchen not much cabinet space. I need to figure out what will be my "junk drawer"....right now i have 2
one for chargers and electronics...the other for coupons and takeout menus, pens, post it notes

We have two in the kitchen - one junk drawer - but it's very organized b/c DH goes in there a lot...
Then I have a secret one that he rarely goes in so it's truly a junk drawer - very un-organized and messy.
Oh - I have a third - my nightstand drawer (and the top of my nightstand). I'm a messy disgrace, what can I say?
