Re: Do you heat the formula that comes out of the fridge?
I don't heat them and have no problems. To be honest, I'm too lazy to go through the effort of running it under hot water to warm it. Besides, I don't want her getting used to warm milk because when she starts real milk it could be an issue if she will only take it warm.

Yes, take top off and throw in microwave for 30 secs
Now that we have a microwave we do this.
Makes me SO happy to use my formula pitcher, it is SO sad how happy that thing makes me. Mainly I heat it up b/c we keep our fridge REALLY cold (like whatever is in the back freezes a little ) and that is too cold for him

I used to warm it up but now I take it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before I give it to DS

We never did and she was fine with it, now we make them "fresh" so to speak. They are still a little cold because we use the water thing on the fridge.

Re: Do you heat the formula that comes out of the fridge?
Wow, I only BF Julia and once in a while I had to pump and give her a bottle, but I always warmed it up a little. I couldn't imagine giving cold BM to her, I would guess it would be hard to swallow it so fast being its so cold, she would probably be freezing after too--lol

I warm it up (take the chill out) by filling a coffe mug with hot water and placing the bottle inside.
Same here - just to take the chill off a bit. I mostly do it at night (I guess to go along with the warm milk theory helping you sleep) and usually do it mostly during the day also

I agree. I never gave Johnny cold milk from the fridge...I have heard that its not supposed to be good for their bellies...EVEN if they take it fine with no problem, they could end up with a stomachache.
Definitely room temp at least!

I've never heated bottles with either of my kids and they have never had discomfort after eating. I've never heard that you shouldn't give them cold milk. Obviously a baby who is used to warm milk would prefer that over cold I'm sure, but there is nothing wrong with giving a baby cold milk.

Re: Do you heat the formula that comes out of the fridge?
DS takes his formula at room temperture, if it has been in the fridge I will fillup a large cup full of really hot tap water and put he bottle in it for a few minutes to get it to room temperature.
I didn't want DS to get use to reallly warm Formula, because then what would I do when we where out with no where to heat it up.

I warm bottle in a bottle warmer, but when DS is not home, the bottle is heated in a cup/pot of hot water.
