It's a simple prick of the finger test! I did it myself in science 7th grade. It's was the only A+ I got w/o trying!

I am O+...I found out when I donated blood for the first time - they sent be a blood donor card which says my blood type and "cmv -" but I don't remember what "CMV -" means

I'm O+. A great way to find out is to give blood. You can request a donor card and they tell you your blood type on it. They also send you stuff about your cholesterol and will inform you if they find anything funky in your blood. Its like going to the doctor an getting a work up without the hassle! And you're doing something good, too!

Mine says exactly what yours says. Want to swap cards?
I think CMV- has something to do with babies. I think babies get a disease called CMV and they use CMV- blood to give them transfusions.

i am o- and cmv-
CMV is a virus, which i believe is kinda like the flu. Most adults have been exposed to it at some point and if you have, your body keeps the antibodies. the reason they like cmv- blood for kids (and normally babies i think) is that their immune systems are not fully developed and it is easier for them to develop infection. with adults - it wouldn't typically be an issue.

I get blood tests done every year for my physical. They send me to the lab.
ETA: Ask your Dr. to request they do a blood type for you.

Last time I had a physical they did a full blood work up on me. I'm sure the Dr. would be able to tell you your blood type.
Is blood type listed on birth certificates?
