Re: Do you let your 3-4 year old pick their Halloween costume?
For the last 3 years, I let DD pick the costume & then did something with DS that coordinated. Dorothy & the tin man. Abbey Cadabbey & Elmo, an agel & a devil. This year, DS is 3 & has been talking for weeks about being a Power Ranger. He is OBSESSED with the Power Rangers & requested to be Antonio. So that's what he got. I did briefly try to convice 7 year old DD to be the pink ranger so I could still match them, but that didn't happen DD is going to be Supergirl.
I guess it's time to accept that they have little minds of their own now. I'd rather see DS happy with something HE picked than unhappy so he could wear what I picked.

Yes. She was so excited about being a bumble bee since August. It was good b/c I was able to get striped leggings and a really cute bee pillowcase dress from Etsy before it was crunch time.

They choose their own. Halloween is about them, not me.

I let him pick. He was pretty easy to please. Luckily he saw a doctor costume for like 4 bucks at Once Upon A Child and loved ot so we got it BUT last week when I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween, he said.............a CHOCOLATE CHIP!

Yes within reason. I'm not going to go out and get a costume for them that they won't wear so I pick out a few I like and think they will and let them choose from them.

Lets see...a mushroom, a chocolate chip & a tomato. Any other mommies have kids that want to be food? Maybe we can call them a meal & all go ToT together

Re: Do you let your 3-4 year old pick their Halloween costume?
I didnt have AJ as a baby so the last two years I got away with picking it out (Pirate & vampire - 2 & 3). I was able to get him excited for both.
However, this year @ 4, he is obsessed with all things Batman, there is no way I could say no. Time to relinquish control.

DS is 2 this Halloween and he wanted to be Thomas but I totally steered him away from it lol.. Next year I will absolutely let him pick his own costume though.
