Do you like those home parties (Pampered Chef, Partylite, Mary Kay, etc)
I like the socializing aspect, and I tend to like the products and buy them, but I dislike the pushiness to sign up.

Re: Do you like those home parties (Pampered Chef, Partylite, Mary Kay, etc)
love pampered chef products!!!!
I had 2 parties, one of the consultants that I had the party with I didn't like she was very pushy, the other person I liked, I think it all depends on the person you get

I have actually never been to one! Every time a friend hosts one, I already have plans.

I have been to a few - I haven't found Pampered Chef to be pushy at all, but Tupperware is very pushy.
I love the socializing and the food!

Re: Do you like those home parties (Pampered Chef, Partylite, Mary Kay, etc)
Depends on the product.
I like the tastefully simple and pampered chef.
I don't really like the jewelry onese or the purse ones.
But, I usually like the social aspect of them regardless of the product.

No. I find the stuff to be overpriced and the party leaders to be like insane cult recruiters. I would rather socialize with friends without feeling pressured to buy $50 hand lotion. I would never go to one of those parties and not buy something so now I just don't go.

No, I don't go to any of those parties. Just don't like them, and don't really care for the products.

I don't like the jewelry parties, since I only wear a limited amount of jewelry and the merchandise would just go to waste.
I do like the Pampered Chef and Partylite Parties. I always have good use for the product.
Passion Parties are just plain fun!

Agreed.
They make you feel guilty for not buying.

Re: Do you like those home parties (Pampered Chef, Partylite, Mary Kay, etc)
I don't I really don't ever buy stuff. I have too much stuff, not enough space. I don't use gadgets - just a pot and a spoon is fine. All of my jewelry has sentimental meaning and I wear it every day. I wish I had LESS decorative items in my house not more.
I ALWAYS feel guilty about not buying and will pick out the cheapest item to get. I have quite a collection of small candles from all the home decor parties I have attended LOL

3 glass of wine later...
The sample kit actually cost $120
They got me drunk and took my $$$

I like them!
The last one I went to was a Tastefully Simple party. Great food!
I am actually having a Passion Party myself next weekend! It will be my first time hosting a "party". Way more fun than a Tupperware party (i hope !)

LOL! Me too. My SIL hosted a Tupperware party and I was sick as a dog, and I mean walking pnemonia sick. I couldn't even breathe let alone talk to anyone without coughing! My SIL basically forced me to come, I went for a little while and of course spent more than I should have. The rep was extremely pushy. Hello?? I can't have a conversation with you without losing a lung and you are pushing me to host a party??? I know this is their way of making money, but seriously???
