Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
Just in case there is an emergency or something? I was thinking about this the other nght when I had 3 glasses of wine and felt tipsy.

OMG always. I have had to call 911 at home twice and 3 other times have rushed to the ER in the middle of the night.

Always. If we are both drinking wine, one of us always stops after one glass. Ditto for beer - one of us always stops after 1 when Athan is at home with us.

As long as one of us is okay to drive, but I am not a huge drinker anyway. Usually 2 glasses of wine max.

Re: Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
I have no desire to get tipsy anymore.. just the thought of having to wake up early or possible dd not wanting to sleep at night while still being tipsy knocks the desire right out. Plus now #2 is about to arrive.. I think one will be my limit at all events.

I don't drink so when DH has friends over it isn't a problem if he drinks.

DH and i never really drink that much anymore - not like we used to! and yes, if one of us is drinking (like if we have a party or something) then the other stops after one or two just in case.

Re: Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
never thought about this. Hmm, well I'm not a big drinker anyway and DH has cutback A LOT. Put it this way, we're going to Outback for dinner (MIL is watching DS) and we'll each have a beer or two and call it a night. We don't drink like we used to.

I will not drink if I am alone with the baby. If DH is home, then I'll drink. I only have had one drink post partum.

ditto. I barely drink, but when I do then DH has to stay sober. One of us is always sober just incase the baby needs us.

Re: Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
Absolutely - I haven't had more than a glass of wine in probably 2 years - but we would never both have a buzz on with Ryan home.

Re: Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
As much as I love my wine- the thought of getting tipsy and having to wake up early the next day keeps me at a <barely> one drink minimum.

Re: Do you limit drinking when you are home with your husband and children?
We're not really drinkers. I might have a glass of wine at dinner, DH too. He has a beer in the evening once in a while. It never occured to me to not really drink in case of an emergency because we just don't drink much or often.

Well, I have a drink maybe once a year (literally ) but I would definitely not drink if DH was drinking.

I feel like we never really drink that much at home but if we did, at least one us would stay sober.

We rarely drink when the kids are home for that exact reason. If we do its never more than one.
I always think what if I had to drive to the hospital
