Do you open presents on Christmas Eve?
We do - that's when we see DH's aunt and uncle and cousins so they get their gifts and we open what they give us.
However, all parent and spouse gifts are reserved for Christmas morning. The anticipation is killing me but it's so worth it!

We open some presents with DH's family on Christmas Eve. The rest are Christmas morning/day. We usual don't get to OUR presents until late Christmas afternoon. I'm extremely tempted to give the "family gift" I bought on Christmas Eve

We do now, because EVERYONE is over on Christmas Eve and some people go elsewhere for Christmas day.
Back in the day before spouses ruined everything. . . .errr. . . . I mean came along, we were together Christmas Eve AND Day so we opened them on Christmas Day AFTER mass, it was torture!
DH and I open each other's gifts on Christmas Day as well.

as a kid, we used to open them on christmas eve. with my son, he waits until christmas morning.
this year, we're going to my mom's on christmas eve, and spending the night. he has to wait until we get back home to open what i got him

Yes, we do bc we go to my fil's party every christmas eve with that side of the family and celebrate it then.. we have three sets of parents so we have no choice..

My Dh's family always opened their presents on xmas eve. We each bring one present to open. Then we open the rest on christmas morning. We open our gifts with my family on christmas day.

DS opens presents from family...aunts, uncles, cousins...and one from us.
Christmas morning he opens his presents from Santa and DH & I have gifts in our stockings we open that morning. Then off to BILs where there is a crazy frenzy of wrapping paper that flies in all directions as the kids open their presents (we all exchange there including the grandparents).

My family exchanges on Christmas Eve (my sisters and I exchange with each other and we give each other's children their gifts at our annual Christmas Eve party). Rob and I give the boys "our presents" to them on Christmas Eve (pajamas and something small)..
Santa comes on Christmas and Rob's family doesn't exchange until Christmas Day.

When I was much younger, we would go to bed. Santa would come and put up the tree and put out all the presents. My parents would wake up around 1 or 2AM and yell for all 6 of us that Santa had come. We would wake up all sleepy and come downstairs to the tree all set up with all the presents. We'd open everything. Go to bed exhausted. Wake up in the AM and play with everything we got while my parents slept in.
Now that all my siblings have kids of their own they all do their own thing. My own brother (really my SIL) always has my parents and DH and I to their home Christmas eve to open presents. Christmas day is the IL's day. The weekend after is when all the family gets together to open all the rest of the presents.

With my family,we open at midnight (or close to it) Christmas Eve (yes technically its Christmas morning) The kids open their gifts on christmas morning

DH and I open our gifts to each other christmas morning, then we go to my parents and exchange with my parents and siblings

as kids always christmas eve - good for us...since I got gifts before all my friends, but I realized santa didn't exist very early b/c of this. (why did he skip their houses and come back?)
now, we are doing kids and santa on christmas day...but we go to my parents' house on eve and exchange family gifts. So a little of both

We do Christmas Eve with my family and open gifts that night. Christmas day is with DH's family.
Christmas morning is when DH and I exchange gifts, and of course Landon gets his gift from "Santa" too.

We go to my parents' on Christmas eve, so we open gifts with them that day & with any other family that we'll only see Christmas eve. Everything else waits until Christmas morning/day.

Christmas eve is at my mom's house with my side of the family, and Christmas day is with the ILs. Growing up, Eve was always bigger than Day, so it worked out nicely when we got married.

Christmas Eve we do with my mom's side and we open gifts from everyone that's there (except from my parents - those get opened Christmas Day)
Christmas Day we do with my parents, DH's parents and my dad's side - gifts from everyone there are opened then.
DH and I exchange Christmas morning on our own

We open my bro/SIL's gifts, my mom & dad gifts & Santa's gifts on Christmas Eve; then Christmas morning is our Santa gifts for kiddos & our gifts & gifts w/ his parents.

Before DH came around I would go to my aunts house (dads side) and we opened presents at midnight and then Christmas day we would open presents from Santa and my parents and then after dinner we would open my moms side of the family's presents.
Now we go to DH grandmothers house so we open presents from her, then Christmas morning we open eachothers presents, then we go to DH parents house and open presents there, and finally we go to my moms house and finish the opening festivities!
